All Viper covers are red, and on an orange car, I looked at it as the equivalent of wearing an orange shirt and a red hat. Gross.

So I had Prefix paint me some TA Orange to match the car. Not the cheapest route, but I feel this is how they should have come from the factory. In fact, I'd say that all TA cars should have orange covers.

Just sayin'...

Guess I'm going to have to find Ralph again to re-sign this set.

Not sure if Prefix is setting up pricing or anything on these, so I won't post what I paid. They also weren't 100% on the durability of the paint because of the heat, since they do not paint the covers for the engines. I'm driving 600 miles this weekend, so if anything happens, you'll be sure to hear about it.

Also, the driver's side can slip out without taking the X-brace off, but the passenger side won't without scraping, so you'd better take it off, on a level surface. 15 ft-lb tightening torque.

Cheers!

Although true Stryker colors are VERY expensive to do if you can get the help they are awesome.

Agree. The red covers look like crap, regardless of the color car. Orange looks better!

Totally agree. It looks great, I will have it done as well. Plastic covers are awful as is. At least this will "soften the blow" when you open the hood. Well done.

And along the lines of how the TA "should have come" Carbon inside-out is how a TA should have come from the factory. Oh well, there is always something - i will stop whining. Absolutely love it - and going to Las Vegas raceway next Thursday for the track experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
