My new Viper has finally arrived! We had some bad weather here in the midwest over the past day so I haven't even had a chance to drive it yet (besides backing it into my garage). Hopefully the weather clears up later today so I can take a cruise! I've wanted a Gen5 since they came out, but couldn't afford to spend that much. With the new deals Chrysler has on these cars I knew it was the right time to buy! Soooo much car for the money (IMHO)!

I did a deal with Hendrick Dodge in Cary, NC. I traded in my 08 black/silver coupe (you can see it in the background in one of the pics below, there's a truck coming in a week or so to pick it up), and they gave me a deal I couldn't pass up. They have a couple of other new Vipers in their inventory and a couple of used ones (Launch Edition, Orange TA), or if you're interested in a super clean Gen4 (less than 7k miles, 3.55 gears, navigation) they'll have my car soon. If you're in the market give these guys a call, they are very aggressive on prices (I called a few dealers with similar cars to do a trade with my 08, these guys beat all of them by quite a bit)! Alex was my salesman, talk to him and tell him Kurt sent you!

I agree on the avatar pic, I need to go out and get some nice shots of the new car first. That pic with my Gen4 and the American flag behind it is awesome though. I'll have to forward it on to the new owner when they get on here!

Your right, so a guy from NC has to go to St Louis to buy a car, and a guy from St Louis has to go to NC, very interesting.

Congratulations, that has got to be a great feeling seeing your new toy being eased down off the back of the truck, Great Colour.

Thanks guys, I just took it for a short drive (about 10 miles), I couldn't be happier with it! The next storm is rolling in so I won't be able to drive it again until tomorrow, I plan to put some miles on it this weekend!

Awesome! Congrats - looking forward to your feedback comparing it to your '08 coupe. I remember being very impressed with the acceleration and braking on my '08 coupe when I bought it several years back. Then, when I drove my TrackPack (like yours), I was pleasantly surprised that there was still yet significant, noticeable improvement... Enjoy

I've only put 30 miles on it or so (just took another drive), I can tell it's a huge improvement over the older generations. Not that I have anything against the previous generations, they are all great cars and I've been a Viper fan since I was a kid. I've owned a Gen 2 (01 GTS) and the Gen 4 I just traded in (08 Coupe), but this car is better in almost every aspect. First impressions are; clutch is softer and it engages higher, brakes are better, handling is better, interior is nicer, car just feels more solid overall. I can't wait to get more seat time in it!
