Are there any big brake kits available that clear the stock 17 inch wheels on the early GTS coupes?

Howdy. You might check with JonB or Chuck Tator about the availability of 40mm rear calipers. The stock size for "early" non-ABS GTS models is a 36mm diameter piston which was tremendously undersized. 40mm is a pretty good balance. Your signature says 2001, which would have ABS and 43mm rear piston size. This should be really satisfactory as far as front to rear balance and if not, then it's an issue with how well you like the 3-channel ABS. In this case you could look into using different brake pads. If I missed the mark, and you were really asking about 4-piston rear calipers... disregard above!

Thanks, I am familiar with the 40 mm upgrade on the pre-abs cars and if there are not any 4 wheel 4-piston systems available for the stock 17 inch wheels this is probably the best option. Yes to clarify I am asking about 96-2000 cars.

Stop Tech did have a kit for 17" wheels. Had it on my 97' at one point.
