Front TA Splitters Installation

So has anyone added the aero kit to their SRT or GTS and know how to install the front two pieces?

Too bad you didn't ask Tim for the install instructions when your corresponded last. Apparently they are pretty tricky to install. You could try a search as I think someone had a "How To" thread. Good luck!

I can only find one that is the guide for the rear wing which is an awesome guide.

I had Normandin Chrysler Dodge in San Jose install my splitters for me, it looked tricky to do at home. Came out flawless. A good body shop should be able to do it. If you end up buying them and if they don't come with instructions, shoot me a PM. I believe I have the instructions on my work computer and can send them to you.

The factory instructions are not that user friendly IMO. Wayne's come with a template that is very easy to use and since they are generally the same as factory it makes the installs much faster and intuitive.

From what I understand there is no instructions from the factory. Do you have something you can email me.

Sorry I do not have anything to send, they have you tape off the radius of the attaching hardware on the fascia with masking tape. Fit the splitter with the rear attaching points and draw an arc outlining the splitter on the tape. Then tape the mounting edge of the splitter the same way with a piece of paper, mark the holes that are drilled and radius, remove as one piece, cut along the lines of the splitter radius then attach lining up the radius. Mark the holes to be drilled and hope that it is dead on. Like I said, Wayne's templates make it easy, but we have done it both ways, this way you may need to elongate the inner most hole a 1/16" to get it to match the radius, but very slight.

I'm a strong proponent of the OEM splitters. The quality is fantastic, they take HARD hits at Laguna Seca in the Corkscrew every lap. I can see I'll need to replace the replaceable rub pads at some point. The aftermarket solution doesn't have replaceable rub pads. In addition to being replaceable, they absorb some of the energy of impact and strengthen the brittle carbon fiber. I'd go OEM, hard to install but worth it.

HEY! THATS YOU! IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU. Are those the continental race tires? Where do you get those! and yes, I got the OEM splitters.

Edit: How fast are you taking the corkscrew that your suspension is compressed like that lol...

Yes, you can buy the Continental slicks in the Discontinued Tires section of Hoosier's website. Hoosier makes Continental slicks, go figure LOL. Unfortunately they're out of our front sizes at the moment, but they periodically add new sizes.

You've got to come out and join us some time. A few track dates coming soon...

Sonoma Oct 9 with Hooked on Driving (but they're only taking drivers that have been signed off for solo)
Buttonwillow Oct 18-19 with Speedventures (all experience levels welcome)
Laguna Seca Nov 28 with NorCal Shelby Club

Do they really? How awesome! I'll see what I can do, I moved to SoCal in July so I can drive up there for an event.
