Anyone have any experience with these ? I saw a car with them the other day and they look great. Apparently they are custom designed for each vehicle but they don't have them for the GenV yet. They claim that they also reduce brake dust on the wheels. I'm wondering if the GenV calipers cross over to other cars that they may have already done. They would need a car to fit them on in their San Diego shop. There is a vehicle request form on the website.

For me, they are the ultimate in poser gear. I see plenty of imports and V6 Camaros and Mustangs sporting them. They give the appearance of big brakes (which the Viper already has for the most part) without having to spend the cash.
I won't tell you how to mod your car, but I wouldn't use them on my Viper if they paid me.

Those would work great in conjunction with a couple of these: http://www.tornadoair.com

OK... thanks for confirming my suspicions.... lol
I've seen some really bad results from the paint kits but I'm not sure I've seen any good results. I suppose if it's a good result I might not even know.

Your best bet is to have someone powder coat them to the color of your choice...the calipers will have to be taken off of the car and completely disassembled to have it done properly, so keep that in mind. It will be your most durable, easy to care for finish. Next best would be to have a body shop paint them.
I had a friend do those on his stang, I hounded him til he took them off, they are totally gross.
I've repainted every caliper on just about every car I've had, except my gen4 because the red worked great against the black car.
I don't know it I'm allowed to, but here's a link to the brand I've use for 20 years. I tried duplicolor once & it was garbage. The stuff I use, includes a hardener and is pretty serious, when it dries it doesn't leave brush stroke marks either. And it has survived track days for me, so that's the real test. Here's the link, it comes in a rainbow of colors of course.

Another reason they are so much of a FAIL poser mod, is that brake calipers need the bare surface area to dissipate heat. With silly covers on them, the heat won't dissipate properly. Meaning your brakes will fade.

+1 I used this kit on my stock brakes, applied with a sponge brush, and then bought a sheet of caliper stickers. The trick is to clean the calipers a few times over and do the ENTIRE caliper inside and out not getting any paint on rubber parts. As with anything taking your time and attention to details = excellent results.

Why would you cover up the stock Stoptech calipers that have "VIPER" on it and put something that looks cheap?

I painted mine red with a similar epoxy product and it looks oem to me.
