I’ve been searching for a catch can solution for a while. One of the reasons I’ve been hesitating to pull the trigger is that there was not really a good way to mount a can other than drilling and I was having a hard time selecting a can. However, working on some other products and noting the amount of oil being put into the intake manifold made me realize the importance of finding a solution sooner than later.
IndyRon’s thread inspired me as the Radium can looked to be a well-engineered solution. The problem (for me) was drilling into the crossmember.

Fast forward a few months and I have the top half of my non-invasive mounting bracket which is compatible with the Radium competition catch can. The bracket clamps over the cross member and provides support with a light weight bracket. The bottom bracket is not yet here and will also provide lateral support to the can. Once I have the bottom I’ll get these hard anodized in black and they will be available for purchase.
Benefits:
- Non- invasive! No drilling! Foam padding prevents damage to the crossmember.
- Some ability to adjust the location / does not interfere with existing hoses or systems (on the Gen IV, have not tested on a Gen III)
- Light weight, hard anodized CNC machined aluminum and stainless steel hardware.
- No need to engineer your own solution
More updates to come as I get the pieces together. I also plan on noting fittings required to install these. I'll be doing my install of the catch can in parallel with my Gen V intake installation (pending fabrication of my compression limiters...)
