I wonder what % of new sales since the MSRP drop have been current Gen 5 owners using the extra $15k vs "new" Viper buyers. I called on a few cars that were very heavily discounted but about 5-6 that I had been watching for a few days have already sold. I spoke with a reputable vendor that we all know this week and I believe he has sold about 13 cars in the past two weeks (about 50/50 split of new vs current Viper owner). It would be great if the MSRP drop really has created the chance for Corvette and other owners to make the move and expand Viper nation.
Personally, if there were some T/As discounted (like the loaded GTS $135-145k sticker cars), I'd probably use my coupon now but with the 2015.5 TA 2.0 coming out at the same price, I will likely just wait. Now is certainly a great time to be a Viper buyer, hoping this has created some breathing room for the dealers to clear their floors, especially the long-time supporting vendors (Bernie, Bill and John G.).

does the 2015.5 T/A 2.0 have any bump in power?

There's a thread on the z06 forum and a few people have been swayed by the price to even drop their z06 orders.

Good to see inventory moving, and hopefully the loaded GTS's are a big part of that. Can't imagine many TA's available still...anyone know?

Barely any. I don't think any white TA are still left. Roanoke probably has the most remaining I've seen
I'd love one of their Carbon TA!! But too rich for my blood at $133 even after the $15k reduction!

I highly doubt you'll find any new TAs discounted for anywhere near what the GTS cars are being discounted. The reason for this is simply supply and demand. The TAs were selling reasonably well even before the $15K reduction. With the $15K reduction, they are selling like hot cakes. As of Friday, there were only 14 new TAs left in the whole country. These will probably sell in the next week or two. Once they're gone, there will be no new TAs until the TA 2.0 comes out in the spring. That's a pretty long wait for somebody who wants a new one. So I think if anything the last few 2014 TAs may sell for only 5k off sticker or less.

There is (or was) a white one on Woodhouse website. Don't know if it's sold or not.

Wow, that would be something if all T/A were sold out... OrangeTA, how do you know there are only 14? Do you work at Chrysler/Dodge/SRT or do you just look at the common sites and vendor/dealers inventory? thx.

Without the price reduction, I would have gone with a Z06 personally. That plus voucher really makes it a no brainer. Only real advantage the Z06 will have is auto (which Id like in the Viper)

Part of the reason I wanted a Viper over a Z06 is because the Z06 is coming with an auto (as well as a convertible). I personally think they are diluting the moniker a bit by having so many Z06 options available, which, along with the fact that Corvettes are everywhere, makes the Viper that much more appealing to me. Only my opinion, of course.

Up until the price drop I was considering the C7 Z06 but now with the price drop I'm considering the TA as well. Both are great cars and American icons.

There are TA's out there that are marked thousands below the new MSRP. You just have to shop around. A friend of mine is shopping for one, found a few willing to deal.
Keep in mind that once the TA's are sold out, there won't be any more built until Dec-Jan, which won't hit dealerships until spring. So, there will be about a 6 month window here, with no new TA's remaining.

5-10K off MSRP for a new TA is about the norm right now. Still, you won't be finding any for 30-40K off sticker like the OP was referring to on leftover GTS models.

About 6 months out min to jump on one, then again all the new ones I wanted have been sold in this last push. The others in stock are nothing like what I would order and not compromising on my next vehicle. Seems like black is the venom red of the last gen. Million of them out there!

That pic is 3-4 yrs old. One of the nanny mules for the Gen V. There is another floating around with the steering wheel showing cruise control. Another new addition for the Viper. Last week was the 1st time in 6 years of Viper ownership that I actually had and used cruise on a Viper. Was different :)

You can also tell it is a hybrid from the yellow plugin. In Canada, the green blinker at the top gives you right of way over 2 stroke snow sleds and even the husky sled dog traffic jams since it is a green vehicle.

My friend is trying to buy a Ferrari 430 (won't be talked into a Viper because no auto trans, grumble grumble). Anyway, he keeps seeing nice 430's at dodge dealerships now...

Haha, ok I gotcha now. I was wondering what press release I missed. I guess the one in your heart. I am happy with the Gen V as it is. Or at least I would be if I could spring for a new Viper at the moment but sadly, I have to be a bit patient. The wait will make it sweeter though.

That's awesome to hear that those ferrari guys have wised up. Perhaps the 7K dollar oil change helped make the decision. Or they were sick of staring at the word Viper through the windshield at the track and decided they wanted to see it on the speedometer instead for a change.

Does anyone know if there's a list or link to a reputable Viper Dealers that can do the transaction nationally? So far my local dealers have all GTSes that are like $130k MSRP.
I am looking for a base brand new 2014 Viper in the range of $90k - $100k.
Thank you

No, and if SRT really wanted to move these I think they should figure out how to put a database together. Not many on ebay and autotrader is terrible

WantViper, I assume you know this but autotrader.com and cars.com have 400 or so new SRT Vipers listed. This forum lists our supporting vendors who I'm confident will all take very good care of you. I can't believe you will have a hard time locating what you are looking for in that range. Good luck with your purchase. You will LOVE the car!
