Fall cruise by Crossroads of America
10/11/14

10:30 a.m. at Jordan Creek Town Center in west Des Moines Iowa. This is a great area to feed our snakes. We can meet up with other regions at this location.

11:00 a.m. Head to Jethro's BBQ N' LakeHouse 1425 SW Vintage Parkway, Ankeny, Ia. Should arrive by 11:30 ( looks like great parking and good reviews on food)

11:30 to 1:30 Meet and greet all while enjoying some BBQ!

1:30 to 3:00 cruise Saylorville Lake Reservoir area and surrounding areas. Take some great photos. Hopefully let a few local snakes lead the way and show us the area.

3:30 ice cream stop TBD.

4:30 head for the hill my friends. Slither on home or back to the hotel.

Nothing is set in stone and we love to roll with the flow. Lets make this happen and make a fun day of safe driving and a low key event that's fun for all. Suggestions would be appreciated. I would like to capture a car count along with a head count for lunch reservations

This date has been set but could be amended but i feel this is the best date to accommodate all.

I'm going to try to get some more local cars to show up. I'm currently working on finding out when the shops are going to be best available at the antique district etc. Also working with my boss to plus size this event to really make it a fun end of the year blow-out with some fall foliage, great food, fun drives, shopping etc.

Ok, I'm getting this figured out!! If we can get people to come early on saturday, then I'll make sure we make the downtown Des Moines farmers market. Food, art, crafts, fun!! It's nationally known, and even Rachel Ray has given it a plug. Listed as one of the best farmers markets in the US. Beyond that, I have some awesome plans made up for saturday from about 11:00 on through till you all drop like flies!! Sunday plans are already in the works and will include some nice fall drives and maybe even a ride on a historic train. This is going to be a rocking good time for all involved, so lets everyone call their viper friends in other states and make it happen!! LUNCH WILL BE FREE ON SATURDAY CATERED FROM JETHRO'S BBQ COURTESY OF MY BOSS SAM ACHESON AT ACHESON AUTO WORKS!!!
