Came on with a chime as I was pulling into the driveway, which is steep, at an angle in first gear. Had been pushing it pretty hard on the highway prior to. Got it in the garage, shut her down. Checked owners manual which says to take it in if it doesn't clear. On restart it cleared itself out and hasn't returned, been months.

Happen to anyone else?

You should have taken it in months ago when it happened. You probably need a whole new engine now :(

Except that it's never returned, so I think you're ok.

Manual encourages a restart and specifically says to take it in only if it doesn't clear on its own. So I think I'm good since it cleared immediately on restart. Just curious if other owners experienced it or not.

Yeah I had it show after a dyno I did. Going up your drive it must have sensed a weird difference in wheel speed and tripped. Because it's never came back you're ok.

Mine has come on more than once but always goes off at the next restart.

NORMAL... I had that happen Day1 - on a steep, climbing track-exit hard-left turn at Road Atlanta, and it went out upon restart..... have had it with several NON Vipers too..
