Has anyone driven both cars? Is there a huge difference in comfort?
A yorange 2.0 might be calling my name from the distance.

Yes, have driven both and there is definitely a difference. T/A is stiffer than a GTS as you would expect, but it is definitely livable. It's not as jolting as a Gen IV ACR.
Personally, I still prefer the GTS ride but the T/A is bad a$$. :)

Haven't driven a GTS but what he said, TA is rough but not like the ACR.
One thing I have noticed with my TA because we have some really good twisty roads in the back country with dips - you have to switch to the Race mode and stiffen up the shocks so when you hit some of the dips it won't scrape the front end.

Brian, of course you've driven both! Your garage is one of the best on here! Would be a weekend toy like my GTS, not used as a DD so I think I could manage. I'd say I'd test drive one but there's none near me & even if there were, u know the rest. I also think the new aero & large wing make it look very aggressive.

Ride quality is very livable, even on long drives GT style.

It's likely the front fender air deflectors hanging down in front of the wheels. They're not supposed to be on the TA,< and should be removed. g

I don't think you would be disappointed. We have a member that drives his T/A frequently....even on lengthy trips. You'll be good. :)
As a side note, I drove my GTS this morning and just can't get over how phenomenal this car is. The Gen V is just a perfect driving machine.
Keep us posted on your decision! Anxious to see the new 2.0 colors.

I read that above as well and assumed the same thing that the air deflectors or hitting. Curious why you say they are not supposed to be on the TA? In general, even wonder what they are for now moved to the front of the wheels vs behind them in prior gens.

These wheel spats have an aero effect that is not required when the car is fitted with the Advanced Aero Package front splitters according to SRT. Just a factory mistake that they were installed in the first place. Easy removal.

I've seen those pieces hanging down on my car up on the lift in my garage. I hear them exiting too because my driveway is steep.

This thread came to my attention today, and yes, you are correct. The aero spats below the car are on the non-aero package cars to reduce aero drag, and increase front lift slightly. They make the non-aero package car a little more slippery, and improve high speed front-rear aero balance. They are not intended to be installed on Gen 5 Vipers with the aero package (the carbon front corner splitters and rear spoiler). The aero package cars (and all TAs come with the aero kit installed) make so much more rear downforce (thanks to the rear spoiler) that these cars do not benefit from this minor piece.
So if you have an aero package car (or TA), and you peak under the nose of your car and see the spats in front of your front tires, you got a few extra parts from Conner for free :D
Back on topic here, the earlier comments regarding TA vs GTS ride quality are also right on the money: the TA is certainly more firm, with its more aggressive suspension tuning, but it has never seemed harsh to me, nor is it nearly as abusive as the Gen 4 ACR suspension was on Michigan roads..... That said, if you are on rougher roads, or appreciate a nicer ride, you'll definitely appreciate the GTS 2-mode suspensions 'Street' setting - the most comfortable riding Viper yet.

Thanks Graham. It was nice to meet you at the Museum at Homecoming after you had been instrumental in my choosing the TA based on our forum discussion about the different brakes. I was talking with Erich about my track experience with the brakes and Corsas, and he mentioned the spats removal.
I hope you, Erich, Dick and others will stop by every so often to offer input that only the Viper Team can. It makes all the difference, and great to have SRT participate with its customers. Thanks again!

Thanks for the insight MR. Viper. I have not had the opportunity to drive a T/A, so out of curiosity, how would you compare the T/A ride with the GTS on the Track setting?

I have a question for folks: Is the 2013 Track Package suspension the same as the 2014 TA suspension?
Thanks

No, I don't think the Track Package touched suspension, but rather added the light weight Sidewinder II wheels, Corsa tires, and 2 piece Stop tech rotors if i recall correctly. The TA suspension has stiffer springs, bars, 5 mode ESC (same as GTS), 2 mode dampers with recalibrated valving, and more aggressive alignment.
