Hey guys I have had this weird knock for a couple of years and I can't figure it out. I have checked the suspension, sway bar ends, the inside of the cabin where the drive belt assembly is. I just can figure out where it's coming from the sound seems like it's inside. Any suggestions on what the check? The only thing I haven't checked is to take the left cover on the rear wheel to check to see what's under that.

you have a broken mount on your exhaust or the exit pipe is hitting your side sill.

what year? My first guess is also the exhaust hitting something, check the support. Second guess is the rear shock.

Hey guys I don't have the crossover exhaust it's a 06 couple with 08 exhaust. The sounds are coming from the top. The suspension was changed this week but this sound was happening with the old suspension. Come to think of the sound was happening when I had the cross over exhaust. It sounds like a metal to metal sound, sound happens with side sill removed as well

Just a guess here, but check the rubber bumpers on the inside of your rear hatch. It sounds to me like your hatch is making that noise. It may be as simple as adjusting the bumpers out so they put a little more tension between the hatch and the body.

I would check the endlinks again, both nuts on both sides. Also push down on the rear hatch and make sure the latch and striker are tight (no up and down play" and not rattling together.

Noise can travel.
Case in point, my Wife’s Lexus RX350 had a noise and we both were convinced it was coming from inside the door panel. After an hour of driving with the door panel off pushing on stuff, it turned out it was a cover underneath making the noise and traveling right up the B pillar. A five minute fix turned into a 2 hour door panel removal / re-installation.
Grab everything underneath and start shaking!
