I haven't taken this car to the drag strip in over 2 yrs now. Last time out, it was just a stock engine car with the Paxton supercharger. Since then, I've added about 400 rwhp. I couldn't get a good launch without making the clutch slip too much, so I had to leave the line somewhat conservative and then get on it. My best 60' of the day was a 1.55, but the clutch didn't hold in 2nd gear. I also cut a few 1.60-1.62 times, but the high rpm launch didn't hold again.

Yes, I had to grab 5th gear. That is a lot of rowing in less than 10 seconds. My nitrous shuts off at 6,000 rpm to be safe, which is when you see the shift light flash. So, I had to grab 5th in order to stay on the bottle.

I've always said the blue ones are the ones to watch out for !
Well done. Seat time is the number one reason for fast times.

Beast. 153 is cooking. Low 9s are in it with a serious launch. Are you on the bad boyz clutch?--was wondering why it was slipping.

very nice!
Curious, what were your 1/4 mile times in that car stock? What about paxton only, no nos?

Too much heat after a hard high-rpm launch. It would slip in 2nd gear on those hard launches. Taking off easy, never slipped at all. I don't think anyone has abused a BBG clutch for over a year, like I have. This thing has had hundreds of runs on it.

Stock was 12.0 at around 119. It was back in 2007. Paxton with stock engine went 11.0 @ 130 on street tires. I guess I skipped the 10s.
Never ran it with Paxton on built engine. But my buddy did yesterday - his car was built exactly like mine, minus nitrous. This was his first visit to the track, ever. 10.31 @ 137 mph. Mine probably would have run similar off the bottle.

That thing runs strong!!!!
Surprised you got those gears with so much power...
Did you run your '13 SRT?
Nine Ball
11-12-2013, 08:29 PM
Yes, I ran the '13 twice. Mid-11s and crappy 122-123 trap speeds, just like before. It was boring, so I quit racing it and drove the blue car more. The '13 felt down on power, again. I didn't even do any burnouts this time around, just peel outs to clean off the tires.
I had all three of my Dodge/SRT vehicles at the track.

Thanks for sharing. Shame on the '13 with the Air temp sensor and the lack of tuning; those cars are so nice and should have a lot of potential.
The trap speed on the blue car is nuts!! Well into TT territory. Looks like the track was hooking up nice.
