This was my first time tracking my GTS at Putnam Park...all stock, asked a buddy of mine to ride with me because I was scared to death of the Viper bite I have always heard of.

We cooked the stock pads in 20 minutes, haha. I was hooked! Sold my 'track' corvette the very next day.:)

Wow !! Thanks for sharing the pictures. Nice to see people enjoying their cars. Put some miles and add some smiles. Did my first race session this past summer and had the time of my life. I'm sure my car didn't have the same enthusiasm as the poor thing did pay for it. A few minor nicks here and there and my speedo went out of wack until it recalibrated itself after a few 100 miles. I thought I cooked my calibrater. thank god I didn't. Its a costly little thing.

I blew a serpentine belt on a straight once, steering and brakes locked up...glad I was only going 90..just drove it off track.

Only thing I find with our track here ( Cayuga) is it seems a little tight. It's made more for the Subaru's, Mitsubishi's and the like. too many turns and twists with no time to open up and use the V10's power. No room for the poor thing to breath. You might get into 4th once on the straight. Might. I would rather go to an oval track and let her out. WOT all the way around the track. I don't think the V10 was built around the thought of tight twisty turns within 100ft or less of each other. Just not my kind of racetrack. Although it is a lot of fun and you definitely learn to handle your car a lot better considering the tight turns that are in your face constantly.
Next time it will be with new tires and altering the camber

Yeh I hear ya', sounds more like autocross huh?

I have friends into that, I prefer having turns, camber changes and back straights where you can get past 4th gear too!
