Looking for a website or online catalog for NORTH WIND ENGINEERING for a seat lowing kit on my '09 ACR. If any of you may know of a good alternative that keeps all the modules and sensors please let me know. Also looking for ACRX wing end plates.

Appreciate the quick response but I tried that and this is what I got:

ppcmx-lateleaf.atl.sa.earthlink.net gave this error:

Didn't know if they had an online catalog to search and purchase form or not or if anyone had a working email?

Whitehead Motorsports should have the updated 2010 ACR end plates in stock pretty soon. For anything ACRX related you can always get ahold of Tom Francis.

I remember when I bought mine, they were hard to find. I'd check around for a used one which I was able to find (not sure how "used" this kind of part can get).

Without a doubt, call JonB since I know he sells the fixed seat kit here:

Snake Oyl sells the adjustable kit:

For some reason I thought North Wind Engineering was "closed" as the brackets were no longer avail.
I have a pair sitting in the garage waiting to install one of these days.

What do the ACR-X end plates look like? Are they the same as the '10 ACR's?

Appreciate all the responses- new to the forums here and was unaware I had to subscribe to get updates via email. I usually buy everything through JonB, just haven't had time to give him a call yet, only saw the 2" on his site and that is too low for me. I sat in a guys Gen IV this past weekend with the 2" kit and it was way too difficult to get in and out for me. Also talking with him all the modifications needed to retain the sensors and modules just seemed too much. Keeping the seat as is in the ACR is not an option, no room for helmet and top of windshield is 1/4" below eye level. I'll make some calls later today and see what I can find out with JonB and Mike.

The ACRX endplates are the same as the '10 ACR endplates. Found a OEM part number so putting my order in today. Will call Whitehead Motorsports to see how he is coming along with his endplate design too.

Can you share the OEM part number?
Also (I wasn't aware of this at first) the '10 wing itself is different than the '08/'09

If It Fits On Or In a VIPER.............

the ACR-X were all 2010, so they have 2010 (slotted) endplates.

In stock you-know-where Kurt !

my parts guy found an OEM part number but MOPAR does not have pictures of these, so we are not 100% certain they are the correct endplate design. Have an email in with JonB to confirm that and place my order. I don't want to post up a part number if it is incorrect, misinformation on forums spreads like the flu. If they are the wrong part numbers it would be a $500 mistake...

Yes the '10 wing is slightly different than the '08-'09 wing design but the endplates do swap without issue.

The airfoils between '08-'09 and the '10 wing are really similar if not exact. The huge difference is the wicker bill on the trailing edge of the '10 wing. That is why the curved "vents" are in the end plates to release the air that gets trapped at the wicker bill.

The World Challenge version of the Comp Coupe, has a cutout on the endplate to allow air to "bleed" off. I think I have pic to illustrate. I'll look for it and post it.

Here are some Comp Coupe pics I took out of my archives.

Pic two shows an "old" VRL wing on a "Gen1" comp coupe. It is a very early chassis that has a straight airfoil and riveted on wicker bill. The end plates are small.

Pic one is a Late World challenge Car With the "gen 3" aero on it. The wing is huge with a big wicker bill. Note the Cut out in the end plate to allow the air that is caught by the wicker bill to bleed off.

You are correct the '10 wing is different and VERY expensive to get your hands on. So I am trying eth endplates only. The part numbers did work and the parts arrived. I paid under $400 for them and they came in primer, (have a buddy at a dealership with parts discount) Part numbers are P5154817 and P5154818. I've looked online and looks like the price is going up on them so not sure if it is a supply or demand thing. Having mine painted soon and installed to try em out.

Turns out they made the front splitter for my car, a lot of parts were made on a CNC machine and I was hoping the company may still have the program settings to fabricate new parts.

I remember NEE from way back in the earliest days of the car, they've been around since the earliest days of Viper (at the time, few people made stuff for them). I do think they closed, but some of the stock may still be around. Haven't seen any activity from them directly in quite some time.

Yes indeed they are not around anymore.
Sadly Due to lowering my car I caught a bump in the road with their aluminium front splitter, the Splitter folded under the car and caused a lot of front damage. I was not even going fast (no more than 25mph) but that was enough! I was hoping Northwind could make me a new one :( But I have not been able to find anyone to produce another.

Sorry to see your damage. In the US I have access to a lot of sheet metal shops that could pull patterns off the damaged piece and re-pop it. Have you hit up the industrial fab shops that service manufacturers? In my experience some will take on 1 off jobs especially if they don’t have to engineer the piece. One of our factories is in Treforest Whales, so I possibly could see if they know of a custom fab shop that you could contact.
Unfortunately I can’t say if the cost would be worth it or not. If you run out of ideas PM me and I’ll help out as much as I can.

Thanks Silver ACR, even my insurance companyou did not know of any companies prepared to take this project on.
I have tried a few small companies but they all don't want to know. Everyone is busy. I have gone a different route now with the front but was hoping to find someone with a motorsport interest willing to take on a small project.
