Taylor love those Ducs! 6133 my current ride. A 2006 Ducati 800ss. Not the fastest bike I have ever owned but as far as fun factor it rocks. I've owned everything from cruisers and baggers to full out race bikes but the Ducatis grab me just like a Viper does. Just something about them. Purchasing an 1198 next week and seriously considering a Diavel and also a used monster. Those Diavels look even nastier in person.

My only 2 wheeled fling, which I sold to support the purchase of my Viper. I drove a '85 VT 500 a little in high school but this was 'my' first bike. It scared me a few times but I've never felt so cerebrally connected to a machine. I miss two wheels every now and then.

2007 Triumph Daytona 675... The successor to the 955 in most ways. Except it's a 3 cyl. The bike is skinny and has a little more torque than a typical rocket. 125 hp and 418 lb wet, all tons of fun.

If I am on two wheels, something has gone seriously wrong with the Viper or I have the truck somewhere gnarly in the backcountry on the way to my favorite fishing spots and the snow runoff has done a number on the roads but the fish wait for no man. : ) I dig bikes, think they are cool and really like the endless customization and personalization they inspire, I just haven't really gotten into riding them too much.

Hey VooDooRob, was that bike just a nod to the Hemi motor/challenger or was there something custom goin on with the motor...a la dodge tomahawk type of thing. (Speaking of that, anyone here have one of those?)

Hey IndyRon...how about a photo with those LEDS shining. Would be great to see em.

VoodooRob

My builds above are just a nod to the classics with colors, wheels, original fuel caps, taillight... small parts to try and capture the key elements of a tribute without being too over the top. The blue bike is running N.O.S. and green beans engine is stock 08 ZX14.

[QUOTE=EZ 2B Green;72807]Ok, so no one posted what I think is the two wheeled equivalent of the Viper (other than the Tomahawk).
I know this is an old thread but how about A 2005 V Rod with a turbo and Nitrous 160 HP add the gas and it's 175 hp that would the bike in the middle.8066

Or 1984 FXST with a Supercharger no were as fast as the V Rod but moves a long pretty good8067

And last but not least 1956 FLH slowest of the three but it gets the most attention 8069

All three from the rear 8068

Boost now is 8 lbs. no trask, turbo and system "Turbo Connection" in Rapid City SD
I did the piping and mounts. At some point I need to put good gas in and push the boost
up to see what it will do.

The Chicken Strips separate the posers from the riders ...lol ! I am always amused by those who talk a big storm , then walk over to their Bikes and see 1"to 2" Chicken Strips :witless:

In post #61 I stated that I think that the VMAX is the two wheeled equivalent of the Viper. Apparently Motorcyclist magazine is reading our threads. The April 2015 issue just arrived and inside is an article titled "The Deal with the Devil", which is a head to head test of 3 power cruisers. They use automotive metaphors to describe the bikes. Quote: "If we had to give Star's VMAX a car metaphor, it would be something like a Dodge Viper - ridiculous, outlandish, totally in your face about its performance capabilities."

Since I have both a Viper and a VMAX I wonder if I have a character flaw that draws me to these type of vehicles? Nah, on second thought, I think it is completely normal. :devilish:

How well does a VMAX takes a corner?

How well does a VMAX takes a corner?

Funny you should ask, according to the test riders in Motorcyclist: "Unlike the ill-handling last-generation V-Max, this one backs up its insane motor with a proper chassis and brakes."
"So, of course, the first thing we did was point it at the twistiest road we know."
See the write up to see how the story ends. Hint: It ends just like a lot of Viper comparison articles, i.e. it dominates the competition yet finishes second...
