I know the Vette looks good now, but I don't think it will age well. I was raised on GM and my father still owns Vettes, but the new ones rear end just won't grow on me. By the way, your car looks great.

Viper clamshell FTW. That's how you do that.

My take away from that photo comparison is that the Viper has a much bigger hood !!
Much more impressive at the car shows ! :)

I like the viper better, especially from that rear picture. Just the side lines of the viper are so much nicer. But the Stingray is an awesome designed car. I actually think it will age fine because it's so unique right now. Like a Testarossa for example, yeah it looks old but it still looks cool nowadays. If that makes sense lol

Up close and personnel it is not close. Keep in mind that is an opinion. However, the traffic backs up that statement.

The more I look at the Viper-the nicer it gets!! Give Chevy credit though-it really is a great car and looks great too-it's just that "to me" our design is a "timeless" work of art!!

Testarossa are still cool because you may see a couple in your lifetime. These you'll see a couple at every stoplight between your house and the local Starbucks every morning. Lambos are the exception to the rule when it comes to angular cars aging well, in 10 years these will look just as dated as a C4.
In terms of comparisons I really dislike how the Vette headlights and grill opening are so similar to ours. I do double takes now every time I see one on the highway.

Can't stand the looks of the new normal vette. I think the zo6 looks pretty good though, will be interested to see side by side pics with that later on. Still though, the Viper looks unique and exotic. The corvette will just always look "good."

The stripes don't work on that C7
IMO
The C7 looks good to great in pics, the Gen5 looks great in pics.
In person the C7 looks OK. The Gen5 looks awesome in person.

You're exactly right.....in pictures with the correct lighting, the C7 really looks stunning. But if you see them in person, depending on the lighting (overcast, too much sunlight) they lose "something". I was excited to see about 20 of them at the Monterey Historics Race at Laguna Seca last year. Since it was the Vette anniversary, their were hundreds of Vettes of every generation there. Amazingly I found myself noticing the C6 Z06's drive around, but wouldn't snap my neck to look at a C7. As the day changed from sunny, to overcast and back to sunny, the look of the C7 just changed and I lost all enthusiasm for it. The only C7 that looked awesome was the convertible with the top up....those lines worked much better. The targa version looked like crap IMO.
The winner of the looks department for the Vettes IMO...The C2's.....damn those cars are sexy, even today. I see a C2 coupe in my future. Trying to work on getting a 1963 Grand Sport continuation replica for vintage racing.

Could not agree more with this. Similar situation at a recent show of all year vettes. I was shocked to realize the C7's in person sort of just blended in. The C2's are timeless, stand out and still attract so much attention. What surprised me was the early Gen3's (68-72's) are now starting to look great as well (I never liked them before). The C7's began to look bland which shocked me and I found myself liking the C6's better. What also shocked me was the interior looks nice in photo's, but actually cheap in person.
Interestingly, the Gen5 viper seems of photograph ok, but looks much more impressive in person.

Haha!!! Viper - Perfect solution to penis envy.
All kidding aside, I think the Viper is the most bad ass looking car on the planet. Not feeling the Vette quite as much, especially from the rear. But it is a nice sports car for the money.
However I did see a red convertible C7 the other day with the top down. I was impressed seeing it go down the road, but my judgement may have been swayed by the smoking hot woman behind the wheel! :t1509:

I agree on the C3s, the 68-72 are awesome cars, unfortunately they get mixed in with the rest of the C3s, which I am not fond of.
