Farnbacher and Goosens ended up just 2/10ths of a second behind the winning Corvette of Magnussen and Garcia, with Bomarito and Wittmer just three seconds back in the third spot. The tactics and race planning of the Vipers seemed to be spot on till a late race accident that caused a long yellow. Kudos go to the Crew chiefs, pit crew and mechanics and the drivers for a well fought race and another good result, though not quite that top podium we all desire. Great to see the classic colors back and the excitement of the historic paint scheme seemed to carry over to the crowd. Good press on TV and even the announcers commented on how cool the Snakes looked back in the traditional dress!! Canadian Tire Raceway ( what we all know of as MoSport ) is next and that has often been a Viper track, so it could be a great track for a win - believe that is Kuno Wittmer's home track!!

Great race to watch and congrats to the guys for two spots on the podium !!

Great Result for Team Viper-SRT. I LOVE THE GLEN! Here is a cool at-speed pic of #91 , and a play-by-play of the 6hr race:

Great pic Jon, thanks for posting that and the article. Wish I could get a pic of the Viper and the Vette finish, as is sounded like they might have been side by side almost. They did a snippet on TV , but it was there and gone too fast!

We were frustrated with the TV coverage; they focused on the Prototype finish (that was a snoozer once the last pass was made), and when the GTLM finish was there, the camera shot was from inside the Vette. They never showed how close the finish was, nor did they interview our guys on TV. Boo!

That said, it was a thrill to be there and see the team's excitement...and yes, their frustration. Goosens had a real shot at the win if not for that last caution...but it was legit, the crash was severe and kudos to IMSA for throwing that green for a lap to give us a shot at it.

And, I prefer this podium shot ;)

That's a great finish! SRT is on the heels of the vette in only their their second season. I hope they continue to improve and soon dominate the vette once again :)
