On my Gen IV I have a front tow hook that attaches via a mount on a bar behind the the grill. When attached, the tow hook protrudes through the grill.
Has anyone tried such a mount on a Gen V? Specifically, is the same sized bar there and if so, will the tow hook fit through the grill?
Thanks!

I think it will but you might have to mount it inverted. Seriously.

Don't know if your Gen IV hook will fit on the Gen V.
Here's a pic of the one Mark/Woodhouse installed on my TA.

Yes it will - fits on pass side better , but will fit either side - they look good

That "Woodhouse" hook is made by IPSCO. Give IPSCO a call.

Not a direct fit between Gen 4-5. There is a spacer block for 5th Gen.

There is a difference between the GEN 4 & Gen 5. The Gen 4 main block is thinner and loads the ring plate from the top. The GEN 5 Main mount block is thicker to place the ring plate lower, due to the grill opening being lower. Also the ring plate loads from the bottom.

We actually helped with all the dimensional changes for Mark at IPSCO on the GenV, get the correct one for drop dimension and length.

Thanks for all of the replies! I went to the dealer lot yesterday to check a Gen V and it did not look like it would fit. So, just one more goodie that the buyer of my Gen IV is receiving--sale should be completed in a day or so. Then the hunt for a Gen V intensifies!
