This is just a hypothetical question regarding being able to buy the Gen V with the Trofeo R's from the factory. Looking at how well these tires perform for the new Z28, wouldn't it make sense for SRT to offer them on Vipers? They could also offer fluid upgrades, hardcore deletions, and maybe light weight racing seats? This way the car could be considered stock and thus be considered as such when ran on the track for stock performance purposes.

SRT would need to have a relationship with Pirelli; oh wait.

I waited for the Trofeo R's for 3 years to come in our sizes but won't even get them now even if they were available as the Nitto R888 now come in 315/18 and 345/19 sizes so as soon as my Corsa's wear down, I will get the R888's.

Really impressed with the corsa's actually. In both hot and freezing cold weather the performance was there on the street. Those rears are big radials though & could cost a thousand bucks each to replace & install; ouchie.

R888's are an R compound similar to a cup so they will outperform a super sport. I didn't think they had them in our sizes but I guess they do.

BRUCE: The R888 is a Toyo, not a shitto
