I forgot what issues these are in, but they are in the old Viper Magazines.
I know the 2010 numbers are from this issue

http://www.vipermagazine.com/past-issues/sc_images/products/469_image.jpg

When I get home I will check my other magazines to see what the 2008 and 2009 numbers are from.

Would those be the same wing and splitter that went on the ACR. carbon fibre, dimensions etc?

ACRucrazy
11-06-2013, 03:49 PM
The front splitter is the same, the rear wing and endplates are smaller. The Aero produces about 600 pounds of downforce at 150 vs the 1000+ of the ACR
It was a $6,500 option

Gotcha, would you know the best place to buy an ACR wing spkitter and canards. Does not have to be the real thing but as close as they get. If not the real thing. I know Xvipers has parts. Anyone else?

I thought they did aero cars in 09 and 10 but those charts don't show that. Amazing that 41% of 10's were 1 of 1.

ACRucrazy
11-06-2013, 05:48 PM
Yes they did aero cars in 2008-2010.

JonB at parts rack has mentioned the ability to get the ACR parts in the past.

Package 21A is not a designation for the Aero Group, just a broad notation for the Viper itself ( note 21B was for the ACR).

There were supposedly only 6 ACRs done in Venom Red in 2008, but Tomball did get one late that was designated as a 2009 ( even though the color was no longer available). There are some inaccuracies with these numbers that have been noted over the years, but it is quite difficult to get them cross checked now.

Good example is we got a Red Convertible in 2008 with white stripes, but it was not listed on the window sticker or the invoice, yet it came from the factory. We had two examples of this error in 2008, though I have forgotten the second color..............in essence the stripes ended up free to the buyers. If either of those folks are on here , it would be interesting if they would bring forth said information.

Yea there are some errors throughout the years. Example that always comes to mind is the silver red stripe, no black center band 2010 ACR that is not listed among others.

As far as window sticker errors, I've even seen one that didn't have the gas guzzler tax charged, it was on a 2010 VoooDooo edition.

A lot of dealers loaded up on Venom Red initially which is why they made so many but it turned out to be a rather controversial color in real life.

I don't know if I've ever seen a 2008 Venom Red ACR.

There is at least one thing wrong with the table from 13COBRA, it shows one black w/ drivers stripe 2008 ACR made, and that can't be correct. The table shows 58 black ACRs but the numbers add up to 52.

I never noticed that before. The other two ACRs on the top are incorrect too then, compared to the table.

Love these production charts

Imagine one of these for a production year for the Corvette. Add a 0 to the end and then double it.

They published a corrected chart in the Spring 2009 issue of VM.
