I wish GTS blue would come back. Stryker Red did which is interesting. I thought that was to be a limited run car?

It looks like the TA will be available for 2015MY. I thought it was a one year option on the SRT trim.

The TAs seem to be selling really well so if it's making them money they should keep offering them. Maybe just in different colors?

Its all about the money for the Stryker Red and TAs. If they are selling, then make more.

Would really like to see GTS blue come back. I think a GTS Blue w/ White Stripes SRT would look awesome.

TA was always going to remain. They just build xx of each color, then move on to other colors.

Curious to see how close the Stryker Purple is to the Violet from the Gen 4's. I would hope that it's a much deeper/richer color.

Wow, Pimp my ride :D Wonder when the 22" spinner wheels will be an option? :D
On a more serious note, will need to see some colour samples ;)

Don't care too much about colors.
How about a "normal sized person" interior option. That would be sweet.

Im hoping the Stryker Purple looks something like Audi's Merlin Purple or even a variant of the purple hue that is currently on the Challenger. Here is a pic of Merlin Purple.

Probably will be similar to Plum Crazy - see 2013 SRT8 Superbee, or Plum Crazy Challenger.

Viola Ophelia on my friend's Diablo is an incredible shade of purple. Can't wait to see Viper's version of the color. Still coupe only for 2015? A targa top option would be cool. Would suck to lose the double bubble roof with a traditional vert IMO.

They NEED a vert and better marketing for 2015 or the Viper is dead.

The refresh is supposedly 12 months away. Lets see if it comes or if the brand becomes hissssstory.

I too wish I could get excited about a paint color. I too wish they made an option for people who could fit in previous gens but need vertebra removed to fit in this one.
Nice to see some info coming out though, we'll take that as a good sign.
Now, how 'bout that vert?

What viper had so much room. I had a G1 and now have both a G2 and G5. In my opinion the G5 has the most room.
I now feel sorry for all of us that have suffered with our micro sports cars.
Don't take it the wrong way and I may be wrong, but, your post sounds like whinning. If you have a medical problem I apologize.

Haha. Boo hoo my pourage is too hot. It fits like a tight cockpit because its a street legal race car.
I think color choice is critically important. It effects interior choices, wheels and even brake calipers. Wonder if champagne & Stryker purple will go well together...

Jack, I know you're not replying to me, but I posted this too, I hear ya on you fitting better in a gen5, I think it depends on dimensions. I've had a gen2, 3, and 4, and no headroom or helmet issues in any of them, in the gen5 I can't wear a helmet and without a helmet my head just touches the headliner, haven't had that in any other viper. So, no whining from me, except that I would like to have a gen5 but just can't fit so I'm stick in my gen4 at the moment. If I didn't like the gen5 it wouldn't matter, but since I want one, I do hope we see something come available from the aftermarket or see dodge adjust something or see a vert. Just for me ;-)

Unsure why it is hard for people to grasp - adding new colors is simple and doesn't require complex retooling. Every time a new color is introduced, the same gripes are iterated over.

Same here. I am 6'2" and 215 lbs and fit fine with the helmet. It does seem like a gained some head room, maybe 1/2" or so after the seats broke in a bit. I also think that the GTS model (which is what I have) may have a bit more headroom than the SRT and TA, due to the electric height adjustment in the seats. I could be mistaken.

That GTS vs SRT is an interesting question, my car is an srt. It also sounds like the G4 might have the most head clearance.

SRT also has height adjustment, it is just a mechanical jack-up/down lever on the side, instead of electric. I feel more confined in my Gen 3, vs my Gen 5. Gen 3/4 dash is all up in your face, compared to Gen 5.

I apologize for bruising some of you by stating that I find the G5 small (better than previous generations sure). I am 6'4" and 280.
I backed out of a G4 I was dealing on due to the ridiculous seating positing and crushed feet. I really wanted that car so badly. It was a VOI9 car.
I fit in a AM V8S with room to spare (The Aston Martin Vantage GT is the same price point as a Viper)
I fit in a R8 with room to spare (V8 is a beauty even though the V10 is 30k more)
I fit in a C7 (Z06 is gonna be a hell of a car)
I fit in a Jag F-type comfortably (F-type R is my current front runner)
I fit in a C63 AMG obviously (beauty of an engine for sure but boring look)
I realize I will be attacked and demonized for stating my opinion, I understand that, that's how you people roll. That's cool but there still should be a record of people "whining" about interior size. I cant be the only one who doesn't like it.
Stating that the G5 is a "track car so it supposed to be tight" is pretty ridiculous.
I understand that the average American is 5'8". Im not average or American.
SO if they want to sell more, add some god damn room to the cockpit. Every other car on the market fits, so why cant a Viper?
Yellow and Purple? What is this 1994?

That height & weight makes it the car's fault? Buy a Hummer.

If 6' 4" and 280 is normal sized in your town, you gotta have some serious hockey players coming out of your town.
Curious, but what dimensions are tight in the Gen V for you?
Also, isn't a VOI 9 a Gen III?

Its because they dont simply just "add a color". Theres always some big hoopla over introducing the new color which, IMO, gives us all false hope. Remember when they introduced Competition Blue? Remember how they made this big deal over "we're going to change the Viper world", or whatever it was they said? Yeah, stupidity.

Yellow & Purple are great colors for the car. It's a Viper, not a Rolls Royce. :)

Hi.
The issue I had / have with the G4 was the pedal box was very narrow. Also my head was touching the roof almost to the point where I needed to tilt my head to feel "comfortable"
I had the same issue with the G5, it really felt like it was the same car just with the steering column moved a bit and the seat was re-engineered.
The car I was looking at was a 2009 VOIX sorry. The silver with black stripes and ACR wheels one.
Man I don't know what to do... I want the Viper. I was one of those kids who drooled on it in the mid 90s. Now I can buy what I want and im torn between the AM and Jag now. Wife has all but dismissed the Viper due to its cramped interior and it being a "dodge and has to be worked on at dodge" which is easy to do when you aren't emotionally attached to buying a Viper.

Sorry, guys/gals this information came from All Wrong................................AllPar is not on par for colors for 2015. Not happening and will just say that.

I went to 2 dealers with my helmet and tried 4 gen5's, all '14s so no spacers involved. The TA offered the best clearance, the GTS was actually laughable, the SRT rep & I both we cracking up a bit about if I laid sideways it'd be no problem. The TA with the base ballistic and mechanical seats in a 2014 was definitely workable without a helmet, but with a helmet it didn't just touch, it had me tilting my head to the right, which isn't going to work. I need at least another inch, 2 inches more would be perfect (insert, that's what she said joke here). I'm not a freak in size IMO, I'm 6'4" and a marathon running 190lbs. There is a temptation to pick up one of those dirt cheap '13's in the $80K's and take it to an interior shop & tell them to give me a couple of inches, but ... The car IMO is so tempting, I almost wanted to buy the TA anyway, even with the head issue, tired on an orange and a white, both were smoking hot.

Haha, talk about much ado about nothing. OK everyone, as you were. Thanks, Bill, always nice to have you bring the truth, looking forward to real updates hopefully soon.

Buying one of these if almost worth trimming out a few vertabra IMO, lol, I like my size usually but it's just a bummer I think because right when I said screw it I'm not waiting any more for a vert, I then found out I couldn't fit in height wise, if it was a weight issue, no prob, but I'm lean. Aftermarket could solve it maybe, I've done a 1" inch kit in all my vipers & it was perfection on the fit. Otherwise I'm back to waiting on a vert, I just want to join the gen5 party, so whining a little due to frustration maybe - if we never ask for it, we'll certainly never get it. It's times like these I think, yea, 6 feet even would've been tall enough.

First Bill drops the old no big rear wing on Stryker Green bomb, & now this. Damn.
I attended my first VOA event this past Sunday & saw lots of early gen cars with Targa piece removed. The V would look great like that IMO

FWIW, I have more room in a Gen II/III/IV than I do in a Gen V. I'm 6'0, 210 lbs. Now, I still fit in a Gen V, but I can assure you the roof line feels lower.

Supposedly this information is quite recent and directly from Dodge/Chrysler. can you elaborate what information is wrong?
