That was a really good video. They hit a lot of good points. The only thing they missed in my mind is the way a viper makes you feel. They don't own those cars and have to live with them everyday. The viper has a different mind set. Personally I can't imagine driving anything as a daily driver other then a truck or SUV. Much less a sports car. Go to any hospital and doctors will be driving a porsche. A viper buyer is just a different person.

Great video and to go 0-60 in the Porsche under 3 seconds is just awesome. I like how he says they both will depreciate. True statement but owners buy them to be out in front.

Why do they always have to test the 140 grand GTS? That's like testing a $120k Boxster loaded up with every option available.
Of course there's something cheaper than that GTS that ticks the same boxes. It's called the $100k SRT Viper. With current discounts it's actually the $90k SRT Viper.

Yeah but they also tested a fairly loaded 991TT. Not that the comparison is exact but it does illustrate that the 991TT is supercompetent but not necessarily the most visceral of experiences when compared to the Viper.
I think the best comparison should have been the 991GT3 vs the TA. My bet is that we'll see a 991GT3 vs. F-Type R vs. TA vs. C7 Z06 soon enough.

I have both cars and can assure you Both are great for their intended purpose. The Viper is the optimum track car and weekend warrior - excitement at every turn. The Porsche is a "fine" sport/touring car with epic straight line performance. Both are nice to own but, the Viper is truly exciting and by comparison, the Porsche is not. YOMV, Allan
