Waze users viper nve homecoming group created

If you are going to the NVE Homecoming and use WAZE app, there is a new group you can join which will allow drivers to share share road conditions, traffic conditions, police presence, etc.. It will be cool to see fellow Viper owners in the caravan merge real time on the way to Detroit. To get started, in groups search for Viper NVE Homecoming and become a member of that group. BTW any one with a smartphone (any platform ) can download WAZE app for free.

We'd just tried this for the Tail of the Dragon trip as well without much success. Apparently, the problem is that anyone outside of YOUR 60 mile range or so won't be able to find or join the group. We had all come to the conclusion we couldn't do it until we all arrived, or got close enough. If you find out or know something different, please let me know. Thanks.

The fine print :you can only join a group if you are within 62 miles of where it was created. Damn!!! Maybe we can create local state user groups and then one bigger user group when we hit our planned merge or meeting points, and then one super group in Detroit.
