Twenty six days till the Tail of the Dragon - less for eary birds. Over 60 rooms booked now. A couple of things:

1. Please look at the agenda in previous posts. If you are coming in early and want to join us for dinner Thursday night, please let us know. Filming for a video will also happen Thursday if you want to come join in meet at the Greystone Lodge before noon. We will have agendas and cruise info at the hotel and at the Crystelle Creek Grille on Friday night. You don't want to miss Friday night.

2. If you want to join us at the Ackley's party and cruise on Saturday, let us know so we can order enough food. The Alabama/Tennessee Club is buying lunch and we'd like to have enough for everybody. Barbeque not pizza. Sorry.

3. If you plan to meet us in Knoxville at the Campbell Station exit for the Tail of the Dragon cruise in, we will be leaving as close to 9:00 am. as possible because we expect to have a large crowd and we need to keep on schedule. Those arriving Thursday night, please fill up your cars when you get there. It is 200+ miles to Gatlinburg with the only real chance to get gas in Tellico Plains and it will be crowded there.

4. T-shirt orders have to be turned in this week by Wednesday. We will order some extras, but if you want one, please let us know asap.

5. I know some folks are bringing trailers and I think the hotel will have enough room but we have an alternate parking area. Let us know if you are bringing a trailer so we can be sure there is plenty of room. It may be necessary to disconnect your towing vehicle to make more room for everyone.

6. Like always, we want folks to have fun but safety is our number one goal. We have never had a serious accident and the reputation of the Viper nation is more important than one person's "fun". Especially on Saturday night in the parade, do not do anything stupid - like burnouts. The local police have been good sports about our gathering and we'd like to keep it that way. There are usually a lot of pedestrians on the street in Gatlinburg who get a thrill out of seeing all the Vipers and we want the parade to continue for years to come so please be on your best behavior.

We are looking forward to what will probably be the largest gathering of Vipers we have ever had and we can't wait to see everyone. We have placed an order for good weather so we'll wait and see if we get it. Regardless, it will be an epic event you won't want to miss.
