I have contacted Andy before on this but sadly he does not have any pictures of the car.
I gave Andy a test drive in my car, he liked it so much he went and bought that one :)
We did have a thread on this car on the PistonHeads website :)
Here's what I said at the time :
WHAT EVER YOU DO, MAKE SURE YOU GET A CARFAX REPORT. hpi is useless on American cars.
Mansfield always sets my alarm bells off.
7yrs ago I got tucked up by a Car dealer up there. The company seems to keep changing its name.
There are a couple of dealers up there and their premises almost seem to back onto each other, One allegedly is OK the other I would NEVER go near again, (NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES THEY CHANGE THEIR NAME). I had to get the Credit card company to go after the company to return my substantial deposit.
They may well have nothing to do with each other but after my experiences with car dealers I would never buy from a dealer EVER again!
I would rather import my own car and get the car inspected by club members than trust what a dealer says!
.................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .....
I have also found so emails I sent to Andy and replies
From Andy :
No VIN but the reg was BP54 WKK. The advertised one is listed as 2005 registered. That would be advertising a car as newer than it is and so fraud I think. Best to call them and ask for the registration mark when it first entered the UK...
Damage as I remember was wheels, steering rack, bodywork and maybe head / tail lights. It went off for assessment before I made any notes.
Not much help I'm afraid but it may be possible to get a damage assessment report from Aviva if you contact them.
Aviva will know where the car went after they paid me.

Hope that helpes :)

Andy had the car as a Daily Driver in the UK.
That's a shame... :(
So not worth pursuing? ... Body work , tail lights etc are nothing.. Steering rack etc maybe, depends on repair I guess, as long as it's safe is the main thing... I,like the look if it, vipers suit yellow, not many cars can carry it off .... Is Andy a member on here?
They do part ex, thought maybe I had found a possible fast track to one there....
They seem to have good feedback on eBay.. And many cars up for sale..
Is it worth looking at do you think? And what price realistically should it be?

Right, the company selling that car have a good reputation on the Mustang forums, the company on the main road (round the corner) DO NOT!
Yes its worth going to look at the car, Get the Vin number from the windscreen pillar and contact Aviva insurance, They should be able to help you and may even have pics of the damage if indeed that is Andys Car? As I said, 'we think' its Andys car, I'm not 100% sure.
Another way to find out if its his car is to look at previous owners on the log book?
Andy is not a Viper owner anymore and is not a member here.
If you look at the photos I posted there are some differences in how the car looks now, Black powder coated wheels, the charcoal side indicator lights are now clear. Different colour accents where the exhausts exit. If the dealer is honest he should have photos of the repairs, before and after and a list of parts replaced.
Get the car inspected by an engineer if your serious. The car has been for sale for a while, so make a silly offer, leave your number and walk away. In a few days you may get a phone call :)
Now the Dealer on the main road sold me some years back a 1999 Viper GTS tan interior. The car was going to be delivered to me in Surrey, I paid with two cheques, I then got an email from a member on Pistonheads that did a Carfax search for me, He had found out the car had been issued a Salvage title and a Cert of Destruction, it had been involved in a serious accident in Florida. I contacted the Motor licencing office in Florida and they informed me that if the car was to reappear in the USA they would crush the car! The dealer denied any wrong doing but could not provide me with any history as to how they got the car! They would also not refund me my £5000 pound deposit. I got the Police DVLA and credit card company involved and several months later got my monies back in full. I'm talking about the Company that resides in the large blue where house behind the lower open forecourt. So all I can say is be careful.
Damn! Thanks fat boy!
Yes I will! .. Actually I've heard a few dodgy stories about some dealers in Mansfield .. Good to hear he seems to be ok..
To be honest cat D doesn't bother me if it's cosmetic and not bad structural.. As long as it's not dangerous etc.. It's a keeper for me hopefully.... It could be a cost effective quicker in for ownership for one these cars, particularly if he takes my vette in part ex for decent money.. As it saves waiting game of waiting for the right buyer for mine..
I have a mate nearish, might as him to pop in and get VIN and go from there....
I knew joining this forum was going yo cost me! I'm too I'm too impulsive! Ha ha

James at Atlantic sports cars, sold Andy the car when they had their Luton branch. Sadly Atlantic sports cars are now in Scotland!

When James had the car it was immaculate. .
Almost done a deal with my Gen 2 Yellow RT/10 almost...
Just got way to much in my car ..
The accident was only minor with body damage only no structural damage...
A 54 plate could be registered late 04 or early 05 ...

In regard to Alantic Sportscars, I'm sure they could help you out with Servicing. James still has his Supercharged Viper up for sale the Black GTS, but he wants top dollar.
I'm planning a trip up actually, to have bit of a look at the Mustangs as well..
Saw that black one, quite nice, but big money I agree... That's a lot of horsepower too!!
