Hey Everyone,
Ok based on our discussion from the other thread we were able to put together a Track Day at MSR in Angleton for you guys. I will follow up with more details, but so far this is what we have.
Where: MSR Houston
When: Sunday May 25th
Time: 1-5pm
Cost: $250 per person (VOA Members will recieve something towards this fee but we need to decide how much we can put towards it)
We will have instructors at this event so it won't be a free for all style track day with advanced and rookie going head to head.
Register directly online with MSR here:
http://msreg.com/viper052514
If you can 100% make this event please reply to this thread with your name, Viper, and either Novice, or Advanced (a couple track days a year). If you're not sure just shoot me a PM. I just want to get an idea of the ability levels for potential grouping.

Racing at the Runway Rivalry (http://texasspeedsyndicate.com/runway-rivalry/) up in North Texas that weekend, otherwise I would surely be there. Sucks to miss it. Fun track to run.
Edit:
Holy Sheepdip Batman! I just checked my calendar and I put the Runway Rivalry on the wrong weekend. My wife is gonna shoot me.
I will have to figure all this out, and see if I still have a place to live since we have guests in town during the race now.

All good I want the other local clubs to get to know our members, it might open up more track time opportunities to our folks if we can create some lasting relationships.

Didn't think I would have as much fun as I did. I don't like tight tracks, but this one was fun. Definitely going again. Need some track time to get my lap times down too.
I was impressed by the way the Gen V's handled the rough sections. While I realize that my car wasn't set-up for this track, Nineball was pretty quick around the track, and his Gen V looked smooth through the really rough parts. No setup needed. :)
Thank you Andy and Cody for putting this together. This is what I envision when we talk about club stuff.

. My times improved throughout the afternoon. Started at 1:49 and ended averaging 1:45 for the last session with a best lap of 1:43. Need to get the rear end stable and the pads biting quicker under hard breaking. Need to change the pads, check the rear tow in, and get the motons rebuilt. Hope to get to it all before COTA in June. Fun running with everyone. Nice to not have a 'national organization' give us a hard time about track day details. The weather was great too.

Man, what a great event Andy and Tony, thanks! Weather was perfect, didn't hear or see anyone go off track which meant we got the maximum time on track. Personally got to shake my car out before COTA in June and times just kept falling all day. Thanks to the folks in the advance group, everyone played well together with minimal slowdowns and that maximized the fun!!

I like the orange ACR, plus you can still drive it around and hit the forest in it. Plus, we'll all be old or dead before these cars are worth anything substantial. Drive the wheels off of it, you can always restore a car later.

Rob I know how much you enjoy tracking your cars, so do what ever you'll have the most fun doing, but it will suck to have one that you won't be able to drive on public streets "if" you wanted to.
I can see both sides though and there are some great X's available.

I agree. Take it from a guy that has as many miles on a track in a Viper as on the streets.....you want one you can drive on the street. The last 8 months since selling our street legal one has been a bit of a bummer. I didn't think I would miss cruising but I do...

I agree Mike. I think I'll be able to have both. I have looked at some conversion cars like yours that started life as an ACR. I'll just keep the bare minimum required to make it street "legalish" :)
