I just bought a roll bar from autoform. I am looking for someone who has one or knows a little about them. My big questions are how far forward do you have the seat and how much taller is the top of the roll bar to the light bar. I am concerned about going to tracks days and having problems with the broom stick test. I know Steve told me the bar passes scca rules but not always the broom stick test. He said there is a equation involving flat tires and such. I am pretty short and only need three inches above the light bar. If you know the height or have photos that would be great. Thanks for the help.

Did you get the rear fibreglass bulkhead cover with the roll bar too? If not, you have to do some serious cutting to the original rear bulkhead!

You will loose about an inch of rear seat travel and you will not be able to recline the seat fully due to the side of the roll bar hitting the seat.

You will not be able to open the doors with emergency (manual) lever on the door stanson either (unless you cut down the door release).

I'm just under 6ft 2in, I got an Autoform roll bar for my GTS secondhand.

I needed all the seat travel I could get and needed the seat back to recline, I also was not happy about loosing my glove box and upper storage holder. I also did not want to loose the emergency door release (being in a GTS)
so with the help of another UK viper member we set about changing the design slightly.

Step 1
Clamp it to a good bench

Step 2
Let the cutting commence

Step 3
After cutting the tubes free of the centre frame clamps were used to pull the tubes back, heat was applied (both sides) to the top of the roll bar to slightly twist the tubes, once the tubes were pulled back they were then tack welded in place

Step 4
Cutting the main hoop support struts

Step 5
Was to bring the main two roll bar tubes out slightly and apply more heat to the tubes to achieve this.
We must have had the roll bar in and out of the car over 15 times.

I also have the Northwind Drivers side 1 inch seat lowering kit fitted to my car.

Sorry I can't help you with the Broom Question.
