Car cleaning kits ?

Hi forum,

So I finally took delivery of the Viper (Will post pics soon), but would it be possible for you guys to recommend to me the best exterior and interior cleaning tools (cloth, sprayer, etc...) ? I am afraid to damage the clear coat. I am also a novice when it comes to the art of washing cars and taking care of them, so I would appreciate it if you be as descriptive as possible.Thanks

I stick to optimum products and good microfiber towels

if the car is filthy (driven in rain lets say) i'll use their actual car soap and wash outside

if the car is just dirty from driving around town, i like their optimum no rinse - which doesn't require a hose - just a dirty and clean bucket

go to Youtube and search on the Junkman, All you need is in his videos. I use Griot's Garage products. I would call them on the high end of cleaning products but not the ultra high end. Be careful in shopping for MF towells too.

Whatever products you decide to use, I suggest using separate buckets to minimize putting dirt back on your car. You want your soap\brush or whatever you wash your car with to be in a raised condition as well so that the dirt will fall to the bottom of the bucket instead of back on your car. This will help to eliminate the spider web scratches. And as mentioned, be sure to use a quality microfiber towel. If you drop a microfiber towel, you might as well throw it away or else use it for your engine bay. Those things pick up dirt like crazy and you will basically be wiping you car down with an abrasive.

I used a spray wax today for the first time. Pleased with result and much easier than working with a thick paste or even a gel. I believe it was Mothers wax. Microfiber sponge for wash, towel for dry and MF for wax on & off.

No clue on how to do the interior though. What products are safe for Laguna Sepia guts?

Going back to the early 2000, a lot of owners were using Zaino. I still use their soap and wax. As far as Griot's Garage products, their ever-soft chamois is great for drying the car.
