IN/KY VOA...FYI...Weather Update from Ray Sweers on his Elkhart Viper Gathering Oct. 15, 2022
"Hello Everyone:
The event is just two weeks away from this Saturday. In the event that the weather does not look good, the rain date is Saturday, October 22. We would make the decision to cancel on Tuesday the 11th as the food folks will not accept a last minute cancellation.
A detailed itinerary will follow as we draw closer. Meanwhile we can simply plan on arrival around 10:30, lunch at noon and the Fall Color Tour around the river at about 3:30. Thus the event finishes around 4:30.
FYI: There will be a whole bunch of pinball machines at the event set on free play. Three of them will be the Viper Night Driven machines made in 1998. Two of those will be for sale. Several of the other machines on display will also be for sale including No Fear, Judge Dredd, Cactus Jacks and a few yet to be determined.
Thus far we have 40 Vipers signed up. Please be sure to spread the word to other Viper folks as the goal is to get over that 50 mark. Things are looking good !
Stay tuned...

Hello Everyone:
Big green light for our event tomorrow ! Weather looks to be very nice. There is a chance for scattered rain around the area this evening and perhaps into the wee hours of Saturday. In the event that your car gets wet/dirty we will have two hose washing stations over floor drains here at the event. The water at Positron is nice clean city water. Please bring your bucket, sponge and "whatnot" if you wish or you could use the supplies we have here.. Just in case...
Also we had to make a last minute switch (due to lead times) from Nelson's Chicken to Olive Garden as our main event for food. There will also be pizza and plenty of snacks and drinks including coffee.
The color on the trees is perfect right now. I think we'll all be able to really enjoy the view on the drive to and from Elkhart !
See Ya Soon,

Hello Again:
If you are coming from the North or East your navigation system may want to put you on Beck Road just a half mile or so from our site. Do not use the road if you don’t have to. It is chewed up for resurfacing. Still OK to drive on but feels like a wash board...
Best to go to next road to south and let the nav system guide you in.
Thanks,
Ray

"Hello:
I would like to thank every one for attending our event. It was a great success. We more than met our goal of 50 Viper powered vehicles !
And thanks for the positive feedback. We will do it again in 2023 tentatively the 14th which is the second Saturday in October.
Gordon Mock flew a drone overhead and took some amazing photos and video. He has been gracious enough to offer them to us so please watch for an e-mail or two from him pertaining to our event. Gordon may also be placing these in Facebook so please watch for that as well.
I will be working on a special gift for each of you regarding the photos I took of you and your cars and the group photo. It may take me some time but I will keep you posted.
Thanks Again !
Ray Sweers"
