Ron Wade, owner of the first 1999 ACR in Red/Silver passed away unexpectedly yesterday. I spoke with his long time partner, Vicky. He loved his Viper and they enjoyed going to events. The last big event they attended was NVE3 in Las Vegas that happen to coincide with a national Pantera event. Ron was the oldest of 4 boys, all car enthusiasts. Ron was a founder of the Western Aeroplane and Antique Automobile Museum of WAAAM. You can learn more about him and the museum at http://www.waaamwest.com.
I tracked Ron down because of his ACR which is 1 of 14. His CFO, Velvet, was nice enough to connect us. I expected a 5 minute call. An hour later I was late for dinner and he was late for a meeting. I had no idea he was 84 and Vicky told me today "he never really matured - he acted like a teenager."
I wish I had travelled to the west coast to meet him and took him up on the offer of a personal tour. Rest In Peace
