Has anyone installed one of these CarPlay radios in their car?

That's pretty slick. Im not sure it is $2500 slick, but I like it. I'd be more interested in it if the car didn't have a basic interface to do 90% of what I want.

honestly bluetooth streaming is allll I need and I can just prop my phone in a holder to look for directions. Though I definitely wouldnt complain if carplay/android auto was on the car

I had spoken with them sometime ago. They thought eventually they might be able to get performance pages working but they never did. They said they could get the Viper logo (Stryker) added if you gave them your VIN. It did seem like a cool solution but losing performance pages in a Viper was a non-starter for me.

Talked to Uconnect and they said Performance Pages is going away once 3g is done and the 4g adapter won’t bring this back.
Looks like this may not be too bad of a choice for a radio.

uconnect also once tried telling people performance pages were going away for anyone who didn't renew and keep their yearly uconnect subscription, and that didn't happen, so not sure how much stock I would put in their statement

Seems completely untrue to me - I live out in the middle of nowhere, no cell service at all. Performance pages work fine. But, I will add that I had a situation for a while where I'd drive into town and then performance pages would just die on me. Had the dealer upgrade the unit and that seemed to fix it. Their analysis was that when I went into town the system was trying to update, and when it did, it messed up the system. So, if 3G goes away, the system won't update - and that would seem like the same situation as living out in the boonies like I do.

Has anyone tried this solution? https://www.navtool.com/dodge-viper-2013-2018-apple-carplay.aspx
Supposedly it will add Apple CarPlay and Android Auto without disturbing the factory functions. I have a friend who installed one of these kits on his 2016 Chevrolet SS and it seemed to work well from what he showed me, and everything Chevy was still there. But I didn't see it in person, and I haven't been able to find anyone who's installed this kit in a Viper and showed it off. It's a lot less expensive than the infotainment.com product.

If it works on a Viper it would be very cool indeed.

I lost them already. People still have them? How do we get them back? Adding the 4G dongle didn't bring them back.
