Thought I'd start a thread on ways to avoid the Viper tax.
Got sticker shock when I saw that rear control arm attaching bolts 06036525AA were ~$50 each. You can get 2 of the bolts (grade 8 same dimensions), plus the cam washers, Moog K8243A for ~$25.

does anybody know where to source the self-tapping screws used in the rear quarter panels that hold body pieces together?
I don't want to pay $10 for a screw :(

You might want to check a Lowe's or Home Depot. Their hardware aisles usually have an "automotive" section. They might have something there.
$10 for a screw like that isn't absurd though.
Alternatively, just go to a junk yard and pull them off other vehicles. Rams, Neons, Dakotas, and Durangos all seem to have used them.

I think I would just go with something close. OEM in a screw is not that important in my mind. But I can understand the desire to keep everything OEM.
I would use these instead. (https://www.ebay.com/itm/324229836312?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-213727-13078-0&mkcid=2&itemid=324229836312&targetid=4580496732614415&device=c&mktype=&googleloc=&poi=&campaignid=418233788&mkgroupid=1230353745471221&rlsatarget=pla-4580496732614415&abcId=9300542&merchantid=51291&msclkid=85212c7c5e3c14de11fb4d9584879774)
Or these, come in different lengths. (https://www.amazon.com/Shorpioen-100-Pack-Phillips-Modified-BC-0812KPMB/dp/B08NW9V517/ref=sr_1_30?c=ts&keywords=Self-Tapping%2BScrews&qid=1642716166&refinements=p_n_feature_thirteen_browse-bin%3A15245615011&s=industrial&sr=1-30&ts_id=307025011&th=1)
Very slight difference is length, if that is critical.

Remembered another one.
If you need to replace the Gen 4 plastic hood vent push-in clips (and you should every time you take them out for whatever reason), these are what you need:
https://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Weatherstrip-Retainers-Chrysler-Neon-p/pas5609-50.htm
They also carry a ton of other screws/clips/fasteners (surprise!), but the site is a bit hard to navigate, and you have to be willing to buy in bulk.

This looks to be a close match for those phillips head/washer screws that are everywhere in fender wells and under the car. Not sure on the size, these are #8, they also have #6 size.

That repair kit is awesome, i'll def have to look into that. It unfortunately doesn't address all the weak points. in the factory unit, plus they give you a lifetime warranty once they rebuilt them. Here's a photo of the repair.

Gen2 RT10 and GTS tail lights are the same at around $100-150, also the same as Gen3/4 tail lights that run $300+. The difference is the wiring harness pig tails. Get the Gen2 parts and reuse the Gen3/4 harness, if its a coupe conversion just splice the quarter panel turn signal signal wires into the vert harness.
Shop around, sometimes it cheaper to buy two sets of V8 stuff to make a set of 10 as compared to buying a set of 10. Or, sometimes it helps to buy a set of 6 and set of 4, like injectors or spark plugs.

Yep, I did for valve stem seals. Ordered 1998 Dodge Dakota 4 & 6 cylinder sets for my Gen 3 Viper.

It's a great kit. I used it for my Gen 5 that wasn't having issues yet so I did it as a preventative thing.
2 things about the kit and viper regulators.
1. I found out the regulators were already cracked after extracting them for the kit install. I wish I had gone ahead and sent them off to be repaired first just to be 100% sure they wouldn't fail in the future.
2. The kit is good but it's not quite executed perfectly. The metal bracket that you secure to the regulator is sized differently than the regulator. It could be made better to ensure a stronger reinforcement. Also, the hardware provided in the kit is not long enough for the Gen 5. Not sure about other gens.
