Interesting.... never saw that color on so many curves.
Good opportunity now to heat-shield the sills before assembly.
Please post final pics.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product :)

Are you planning on a wheel change? They might look good in Black?

Thanks for all the positive feedback. I'm hoping to have her on the road by the end of the the month. I'll post pics then.

Yes, new tires and black wheels are on the agenda but since I'm a bit over budget I may have to wait until this fall to take care of that.

Reminds me of one Mattel did in the 90's.

Well, I can tell you I did a lot on negotiating. I got the paint supplier to give me the paint and supplies at cost in exchange for keeping a stack of his business cards in the glovebox. Had I picked a 'normal' color I don't think I would he would have given me that deal. The thought is this color is one poeple would ask about...

As for the labor I worked out a similar deal; business cards in the glovebox.

That said, I have just shy of $12,000 invested in this project.

I should also mention a lot of labor hours went into the hood to fix and prevent the paint cracking issue common with Gen I. I would guess repairing and prepping the hood was about $2-3k by itself.
