So, I'm assuming this is common among GTS owners. Anyone devised a clever way to fix/replace those grubby looking mesh pockets which have lost all their elasticity and look like crap?

I believe KNG Snake tooks this on a while ago.

I went the easier route, removed seats, removed rear bulkhead removed clips holding the mesh frame then stretched material around the frame and replaced. Got the missus to put a few stitches in the material to hold it in place, this does mean there is now no elasticity in the part but it looks a lot better.

I think King Snake took all the mesh apart and fitted new elastic, that was a much more complicated job than mine.

The biggest pain is the removal of everything to get to the part!

Not a great pic, but you can see the improvement.

I too would like to see where they are available separately. I know the mesh net bags for the sides of the consoles are available....but that's an accessory.

Stich new elastic across the inside of the leading edge. No uninstallation required but I would suggest tiny stitches on the outside, larger stitches on the inside. If you could find black elastic it would be like new. Perhaps a black pen to color the elastic if it is white and you can see it

I renewed my sagging headliner including the pocket. Have an RT/10 though. Was a bit of work...

Alright - I decided to go for it on this one and document my steps. Here's a How-To I made up on what it takes to refresh these bad boys in a GTS:

I took it on but my life went from busy to holy he'll ridiculously busy. It's on the back burner. I was to make a factory replacement that can be directly shipped. My life won't slow down for another year and a half.

No mesh on my early '94. I do miss the seat front pockets found on my '95....
Any good seamstress/auto upholstery shop could replace the elastic though... IMO. Sorry there's no quick and easy fix for stretched old elastic.

Cheers
