Just curious if anyone has the stock ignition coil dwell table/settings and if anyone has made changes to it. Did you see any gains?
Thanks

Are you referring to timing advance or spark duration.

spark duration

I do not think that the G5 version of HPT can modify duration, maybe Steve M can clarify.

Definitely not accessible with HPT, so no one other than those that have gone full standalone engine management (or those who wrote the original Venom PCM source code) would have any idea.
Spark dwell, which is how long the coil packs charge between sparks, is something I used to mess with back in my LS1 days. Bottom line: there are no gains to be had. Either the spark is enough to start the ignition process or it isn't. If the spark isn't enough, increasing the dwell time is in order. Increasing it much beyond the minimum is only going to make the coil overheat, and thus shorten its life span.

Do you know if the G5 got away from pre/post (TDC) spark scheme used in the earlier gen's?

The Gen 4/5 setup is most definitely different than how they did it on the Gen 1/2/3 cars. This thread had some good insights:

no discussion of the two sparks per combustion, I will look in my G1 service manual.
