View Full Version : Mopar part number for stock "track pack" brake pads

I'm swapping out my stock TA2 brembos (rotors + pads) with the "Track Pack" rotors per JonB's recommendation to save on cost + weight (mostly a street driven car). However, I can't seem to find the mopar (brembo) part number for the stock front/rear pads (specifically the ones to go with the track pack rotors). Does anyone have this info?

Willing to go with a different pad but there seem to be quite a few combos and not a ton of useful posts breaking down the options. So I gave up and decided to grab the stock pads.

Thanks!

Really, this forum doesn't support quotes in titles? Must be running on software circa 1999.

As a follow up question: do the pads typically outlive the rotors or are the wear patterns such that you usually have to replace both at the same time?

Why would you downgrade the brakes. Those pads and rotors will last a LONG time street driven.

It's a good question. 1) Because I don't track often and the 30+ pounds of weight savings are more enticing to me 2) because I was able to get all 4 rotors for a solid price and I'm happy to have a backup given the way costs are trending.

30 lbs is noticeable.. but heck i would think without track use those ta pads are gonna last 80-100k miles. They are really beefy.

Can't you use TA pads on track pack rotors. Maybe I'm miss-informed.

This is the most ancient forum I've used in at least 10 years. It still flips older iphone pics even.... There's fixes for all this, they just need to update the software.
And I ran the track pack brakes for awhile, they were great!

It's not just 30 lbs, but unsprung and rotating mass. https://www.w8ji.com/rotating_mass_acceleration.htm

If you're not going to track it, why wouldn't you get low dust ceramic pads? And honestly, even if you DO track it, you should be swapping any street pad out for track pads anyway.

I'd do it if I wasn't so lazy and I doubt I'll be tracking mine for a while.

edit I'm assuming TA isn't CCB.

Do you all have suggestions on ceramic pads (and part numbers) to go with the track pack rotors? Are they the same as the stock brake pads? I know the TA's are different because of the wider rotor.

Looking to get rid of your ta pads and rotors?

Nope, keeping them so I can swap between the two on track days.

You cant use the TA pads on the Stoptech rotors as the carrier hat is too large on the Stoptechs. It will interfere with the pad.

I ran the stock pads on the track with the Stoptech setup and they did fine, never faded, great bite.

What was the part number for those OEM pads?

Part # is 5093291AB. They're cheap at about $200 per pair. If you want my takeoffs with 5k miles on them, I'd sell them for $100 plus shipping.

Part # is 5093307AA. They're cheap at about $100 per pair. If you want my takeoffs with 5k miles on them, I'd sell them for 1/2 price or $100 plus shipping.

Thanks! The number you posted appears to be for the e-brake pads though?

From my research, the two part numbers I came up with were:

TA Pads: 68232820AA
Stock Pads: 5093291AB

I wish mopar made this easy.

Doh! I copied the wrong part number. Thanks for correcting me - I updated my post to make sure I don't confuse anyone.
