Repainted Viper

Hi I repainted my 2014 GTS and was taking photos for my insurance company. Just thought I should share them. By the time I could afford a Gen 5, Dodge stopped making them and prices trended upwards for more than I was willing to pay so I settled for a White 2014 GTS. I waited a really long and finally got ahold of a pre primed 6 vent hood. Instead of matching the hood to the original body, I decided to do a complete repaint to the color I desired the most, along with added TA 1.0 Aero. I now have my very own unofficial 1 of 1 Stryker Purple Viper

Woah, badass dude!!!! What would make this car absolutely perfect IMO is to do the ACR diffuser on the back. ACR diffuser with TA aero just cannot be topped....

A little under 19k done locally. Prefix was my first choice since they're pretty much OEM but the quote was too high, not including shipping the car back and forth from Southern California. I will look into getting those ACR Diffiusers after getting PPF.

As an owner of a Stryker Purple I have to say your paint job looks primo. I was always under the impression that local paint shops couldn't get the Prefix/Chrysler proprietary paint codes. Obviously I was mistaken. Looks great!

I had the same question. I have a friend who is an amazing painter. Asked him how much he would charge for a color change on a gen 5. He said he cant make the stryker paint though. Has to be ordered.

Thank you. I thought the same also. Initially i was just going to have the new hood painted white but to my delight, the body shop said they could get Stryker Purple. They have a before and after video they'll be releasing for marketing purposes soon.

You are correct. However, they pulled every panel off the car with the exception of the roof, and painted them individually.

OP just needs the Viper stryker logo sticker in the front, imo looks better than the metal badge... saves weight too!!!! I swapped my badge for the sticker, completes the look.

Prefix is proud of their paint, but i guess they earned it. If people pay it charge as much as you can

This car looks great. I wish color change repaints were not frowned upon for resale. Id love to put a stryker color on my gen 2.
