Hi

I actually bought my car with the seat lower kit installed by the previous owners

It's annoying that it's fixed

I wanted to remove the kit, but unfortunately the previous owner lost the OEM Parts

What is the solution? What parts Do i need to remove the kit? I guess one of the parts is the seat slider, and where is it possible to find the parts online

Thanks

Maybe find a wrecked Gen V and get the parts you need?

I'm not positive, as I haven't looked myself, but I've heard that those original seat brackets are unobtanium. Suggest trying to find someone that wants the lowering kit and arrange a trade. Unfortunately I can't help with that, as I also don't want to lose the fore/aft adjustment.

So I ran into the same problem last year when I got my Viper. The original owner has the viper store seat lowering kit and the pedals were too far even with the pedal adjustment wall the way forward. I tried to find the OEM parts but it’s impossible. Not only are the tracks not available, but the motor for front/back is usually tossed away with the rails. I ended up going with the TKO Motorsports lowering kit as it can be fixed adjusted to your height.

That Means I will just stop searching for OEM Parts :(

Dodge usually discontinue spare parts for their car so Early

This is annoying

I checked on this last year as i wanted to remove my lowering kit as well and the dealer told me the brackets are not sold separately but as a whole assembly with motors and all which was over $2k in parts. Also there are some variations in the seat brackets depending on the seats you have. I was lucky enough to get the original parts from the original owner for mine.

It's either I do pay 2k for the parts (if available) or just keep it as it is,

Btw is it this one what i need?

That looks like the manual seat adjuster, if you have power seats its different. Best bet is to call the dealer and give them your VIN, they will know exactly what you need.

*Update: The required parts are on backorder

I guess with the lack of viper parts, the best solution is to quit and sell the Viper

Should call JonB and see if you can get a used one.

A friend bought a 2013 LE that had a lowered driver's seat. He wanted to return it to a full function seat. Dealer parts network was no help. Frustrating !!

Through BLIND LUCK I happened to see a post by a person selling the missing Gen V motor and two brackets...and, they both happened to be in Florida at the time. Deal done on the next day. Local mechanic installed the parts without issue and my friend was very happy !! N

It's nice to see a fellow owner WIN the parts battle every now and then !!

I wonder if the issue is that Dodge built enough spares for the expected historical failure rate; but, did not stock up to account for the number of Viper owners that just threw away the original parts and then subsequent owners who want good parts to replace lost good parts. Kind of like what happened with Gen V wheels. The spares were all bought buy Gen 1,2,3,4 people or Gen 5 people who just wanted a different style OE wheel. Add on top of that the low volume low profitability production run. Hard to get a supplier to run a production line to produce 26 spare parts (or whatever the small number somebody at Dodge would have to guess they need and hope they didn't guess too high.)

Not a surprise when one buys a car where a major reason is often that you rarely, if ever, see another one on the road.

I’m not bragging but any owner who throws away oem parts is an idiot. I kept my original brackets when I lowered my seat, but I will keep them with the vehicle forever.

Agreed. I can tell you right where in my basement my OEM seat bracket and OEM exhaust manifolds/cats are despite the fact they’ll never be needed in my lifetime. In 45 years my future 60 year old son, future grandson, and future great grandson can decide what to do with them.

Update: JonB replied "Not available"

Currently discussing with someone who wants to sell a pair of TA Seats

I won't mind buying the whole seat just for the parts below
