Calvo Motorsports has this car on consignment, 2017 Dealer Edition ACR with only 154 miles. $300K. I think it's a good deal. If you are looking for one to garage and show off, this would be a good choice! And save $100K if you don't care what VIN number it has lol.

I think policylimits thinks this car is more valuable than the 1 of 100 GTSR. Easy $100k if so. We’ll see if backs up his thoughts!

Yeah, this car for $300K is a steal for him. It won't last once he sees it. He said it'll be worth a million dollars soon, here's his chance! I bet the guy will even take $280K!

I was on BaT earlier and saw a Saleen S7, the twin turbo version with a wing. That thing will prob sell for a mil plus.

God, I hope not. I helped design the NA to TT conversion. It's been a dream car of mine :(. Every time I make more money, it goes up higher in price!

The TT with the wing is the competition version. It has about 1000hp IIRC. We originally expected the TT to make 750 under 8psi but it did it under 4psi. That's how all that happened.

I'm sure it'll sell fast...but with all of the crazies on BaT, why wouldn't the owner just list it there?

Pristine, low mile example, but still...

158-Mile 2007 Saleen S7 LM - $1.2 mil. Won in November by the same guy that just sold the $400k GTSR.

Also, where do you work, and are they hiring Design Engineers? lol

I want the highest mileage one out there, lol. I know that car pretty well. Half the darn parts for the prototype came from summit racing and the engine internals are all a standard size- I want to say SBF. It's a pushrod engine- pretty much nothing I couldn't rebuild. Every wear part is more or less off the shelf of something in production except for a few little things you could easily find a solution for. The wheels might be your biggest problem, as they were custom CNC cut, but even that's pretty easy these days. Body work and glass will be your hardest finds. the TT's all have lexan rear hatches and, I believe, headlights.

Not sure how I went from designing race cars and fighter jet engines to defending capital murder, but I'm an attorney now. I am hiring a designer to design my new office if that counts, haha. I'm genuinely considering putting a driving simulator in an empty office lol.

The guy is right about some stuff, but not others. Chassis was designed in England, etc. A lot of his sidebar facts were accurate. Saleen definitely helped PRODUCE (but not develop) the Ford GT. Fun fact: Rumor I was told is the one sent to magazines was underpullied to get better stats lol. However, the TT was not in response to the GT. We also didn't rush it. There were a zillion hours of tuning in it on the street. I think the problem was probably TT to TT comp version.

See pictures below. We used the Ford GT as a chase car for a while. The video is of me in an underpullied Saleen Mustang Extreme riding shotgun during testing. The S7 engine was first bolted up with turbos. It's running nearly zero PSI boost.

You can see the computer in the passenger seat of the S7 and maybe make out the fire extinghisher in the GT. You can see my Silverado in the background.

Yeah. If I got one, I'd just go straight up motec. I'd also probably find the engineer (I think we're connected on LinkedIn) that did the tuning to see what was going on.

I didn't see any spreadsheets, but I'd imagine they were having difficult financial times even in 2004. Seem to recall them giving a few investor tours.

Ha, I've been looking into this myself for months now. Finally stopped playing the Newegg shuffle and just bit the bullet to purchase a super PC with RTX 3090, Ryzen 5950x, etc.

Very interesting career history dude! Very cool! What kind of sims are you looking at? I want one as well, but it's got to be 100% complete and not crazy expensive.

If you watch most of the F1 guys, they don't use seat movers. Lando Norris is big on YouTube and has tons of vids with him using his simulators at home. So I think you want a good seat set-up (I'm liking the Trak Racer TR8 with a Sparco seat that I'll source separately), with Fanatac direct drive steering box, Simtag/Tilton hydraulic pedals, and then you can pick from dozens of wheels. For driving, I think a single ultrawide monitor is the way to go. Sammy has a nice 49".

The stuff available to build a quality sim rig is nuts these days. Here's a taste:

And aviation of course happens to be a passion of mine as well, which is the main reason I've been looking at sim rigs. I'd like something to double for driving/flying. MSFS 2020 is insane in 4k but it takes a beast of a computer to run well in 4k. I just went bonkers on the computer setup and am waiting on my Virpil HOTAS and pedals. VR would be perfect for flight, but I don't think I'll be able to outlast the nausea enough to get used to it. So it's a large 4k monitor for me. LG Oled 48 seems to be the popular choice.

For an entertaining flight and to see what is possible, check this out (the cabin audio is terrific):

I would love to see a dealer edition go on BaT, but I have a feeling policylimits would bid on the car to jack the numbers up. Time will tell which will go for the most money, besides the $400k+ viper..

Putting together a BRZ with aero, tuned on E-85 with a ton of suspension work. Still teething but I might not be able to carry the pace needed in 4. Considering dropping HP to put it in ST5 if I can't manage the pace. I'll know in the next 6 months. Agree, having gone to Spec Miata for a few years after running an ACR-X I felt like I could sip tea the whole time.....except for the 'bumps'. The trade off over a weekend seems like a good plan. I can't quite pull the trigger to go W2W in a Viper again. Thus the BRZ.

Can't say that I know Tim but I know the name. I believe we might have run a few together back in the day.

And I expect the seller avoided sales tax (still on MSO means the tax man missed an opportunity) and probably will miss out on the capital gains as well. So a great investment, though via methods many would think as beneath them.

I did a transfer registration and at the time had to debate the registrar as to whether or not my 15k manufacturer loyalty voucher should count as part of the sales price or not. I convinced them that as a rebate it did not so 7% sales tax was saved on the difference. Everything about the car has just been a win. Imagine if it ends up having seven figure value in the end...

I thought it was going to bring way more. How many ACR's of any kind on MSO are and 70 miles are left? 2? 3? 4? This would have brought $300K before the insane inflation has taken over this last year. Inflation is so insane right now everything has basically doubled. When I saw my G63 was worth $70K more than I paid for it 3 years ago I was all excited to buy a Urus. Then I saw they are basically double MSRP new and used 2019's are $100K over new MSRP. Scary stuff going on

Mclaren Philadelphia had a DE car listed for $300k not too long ago, not on MSO, with miles and it sold very quickly. There's no question that inflation is here, but these cars doubled in value for a different reason. My C8 is worth 10-20k more than I paid 1.5 years ago but that's not even close to 233% more.
