Getting ready to do the Gen3/4 brake conversion front and rear with the proportioning valve (PV).
I have 2002 Gen 2 with ABS and just have some questions about the brake PV. I've seen how to do it on a non-ABS model but haven't been able to find much on the PV on an ABS model. Is it still a similar process or anything different?
Does the PV go on the line closer to the front or closer to the back of the car?
Where I can get the same type of brake line as what the car has now? Or could I just get some from Advance Auto/AutoZone?
Got any tips or info I should when installing it with ABS?
Thanks in advance!

I don't know of anyone using an adjustable prop valve on a functioning ABS system. I would strongly recommend against it.
As far as circuit location, the rear of the MC actually feeds the front brake circuit. In the event of MC fluid loss, this insures that the front brakes will fail last. The Combination Valve on non-ABS RWD circuits pretty much always has the front brake lines on the front of the block, with the rear/prop circuit at the back.

You do not need the valve. I have 14" SRT ACR brakes F/R on my '01 and do not use that item.

and you've never had an issue with the rear locking up first even when stopping hard?

Oh okay, so having the ABS models alleviates too much pressure going to the rear and locking them up

Yeesh! Messing around with proportioning on an ABS car sounds very scary to me.
Is ABS only for the fronts?

ABS is 4 wheel on Gen 2 Viper.
