I know this has been addressed before , but I couldn’t not find an answer in the searches. I have a 01 GTS that’s starting to overheat when on throttle , then drops down when off gas. Everything points to the water pump issue . About to order the pump , tstat, and hoses. Can you guys point me in the right direction where to order the pump specifically ? Seems there is a decent price gap between some sites , on the mopar ones. Not sure if it’s the viper tax or they’re just better. Thanks

Good grief. If your going to claim you're getting viper taxed, please at least have a slight clue as to what it even means. You clearly don't.
I just placed an order for one and it was $191 shipped. Also, the best thermostat for the Gen 2 is the Gen 3 185* (recommended by Dan Lesser of VSP). The best coolant is the Mopar Orange (also recommended by Dan Lesser of VSP).
There are lots of hillbilly suggestions when it comes to cooling systems, like 160* stats, Evan's coolant, water wetter etc. The engineers that design cars are typically not stupid so sticking with their parts never hurts. Yes, Dan would be noted as arguing against the hillbilly items. I trust Dan more than hillbillys.

Thanks Dan , I’ll check it out. The reason I said viper tax is because roeracing has them for $250 and most other sites around $180, pretty sure both are mopar units. I don’t mind paying more , I just don’t want to be replacing pump after pump. I’ll check out VSP, thanks.
