It is no secret that Viper values have started to take off. What do you think a one owner, pristine, meticulously maintained 2014 Black SRT Viper TA with 10,437 miles and which still has time left on a Mopar Maxcare extended warranty is worth these days? The information is needed for insurance purposes. The car has only been tracked for "Rides and Smiles" events for pediatric cancer patients;and, for wounded warriors and military personnel and has never been drag raced.

Hi Bryan. Thank you for your post. If you could, could you please disclose the source of the number. My insurance company will require some sort of official letter or link to a known valuation source. Thank you in advance for your help.

He's just throwing out numbers based on his want for his to be valued higher haha
I'd say $125-135.
I'll write you a check for $110k today.

There aren't many recent TA1 comps to go by. A 2015 TA2 just sold for 140k with 5k miles, it's in the sold search on eBay. I'd say asking price $150k and it would sell for $135k-$140k. As far as I know there are no TA's for sale on the planet so it wouldn't be easy to replace. I wouldn't take less than a quarter mil for mine.

Are you insuring it or trying to make a claim?

I have stated value insurance on my cars and review and adjust the values every year as needed.

I should add that the car has unusual provenance. When it was ordered, I wanted it in time for a Holiday Party to show it to club members. Ralph Gilles was kind enough to instruct Connor Avenue to move up its date of assembly. When he did that, the sticker for the door sill had already been made showing the manufacturing date. So the car was actually the 4th one made out of 33 instead of the 26th as indicated on the plaque. To say the least, the car was built very, very well. The sad thing is that the weather the night of the party was predicted to be rainy and I ended up not going. But, over the years, the car has been a great Ambassador for the SRT Viper. I still frequently hear: "What is that!? It's beautiful." I am obviously biased but I think that the TA is one of the best over all vehicle designs ever conceived. Ralph hit it out of the park.

So that makes my No issue/ immaculate 12k mile number 5 with even more..... I’m open to trades of any color Mclaren 720 S, or 300k in cash LOL!
$125k is a good number. You could argue higher because of how rare it is but I think $125k agreed upon value is what I would do.

But hey, if my price led to a sale, there'd be a good data point for you!
Not to hijack your thread ,but I needed to do the same with my insurance company. What is an OTA worth that has been altered into an ACR? I’m sure many of you guys know what I did with #55? Any thoughts? It also has all the bolt on upgrades ,MCS suspension and well as the Mopar max care extended warranty, ceramic coated and clear bra -14,500 miles? Front fender louvers coming soon!

I'm having the same issue as OP. My insurance says the NADA value is $62k LOL. Right now it's a decent agreed upon value, but I want to up it based on the current trend, but they won't budge. It's certainly worth much more than it is current insured for being that it has sub 2000miles on it.

That’s an interesting story but I have to point something out - While every 14 TA’s number matches their vin the cars were all assembled in weird orders. IE they did not build all orange 1, then 2, then 3, etc all the way to 93 and then do black 1, then 2... So your car being out of order doesn’t make it special. It being the real black TA #26 is what makes it special.

I have twice received unsolicited offers of 125k without any haggling on my no story 5k mile White TA. While no money was actually put on the table I do sense they were very serious buyers and probably would have went higher if I would have wanted to sell.

For a TA with 10K miles I would say $125K should be about right. That’s not to say you couldn’t get more for it if you were to sell it, but it’s a good starting point for insurance value purposes.
Glad to hear you are using your Viper to do some good out there. It’s absolutely amazing how excited people get when they see one of these out in the wild. Pretty cool that a car can put a smile on someone’s face despite what they are going through.

Grundy gave me an agreed value of $125k on a 2015 Base SRT with 5k miles. For insured value, why not $150k? I would do nothing less. That compensation would take the sting out of a disaster.

What Company are you by going with for agreed value that Does NOT put insane driving restrictions on the policy. Any that I e talked to said your are basically only allowed to drive it to a car show, not the grocery store, work, picking your kid up at school, nothing normal at all. Plus many mileage restrictions as well.

Yeah that's why I had to pass on Grundy, I enjoy running errands and driving it a lot more than a garage queen. Most go with grundy because the premium usually comes in a lot cheaper than other agreed value policies but they are the most restrictive by far.
Also to the OP, I hope you know that stated value is not the same as agreed value? If you read most policies in reference to stated value they will read "In the event of theft or a total loss we will pay the stated value or the actual cash value, whichever is less." Please read your policy. You will only benefit with stated value if you want a lower premium and want to lower your stated value below the ACV. Agreed value is the way to go.

Hardly "insane". It has a specific use. Not sure why people don't understand what collector car insurance is for and why you can get a very high agreed value policy relatively cheaply. You can't have it both ways, cheap agreed value insurance and Home Depot errands where you are 100 times more likely to get hit by uninsured Juan picking up lumber.

Update. The insurance company allowed an "Agreed Value" of 135K. Sorry for the delay in posting this.

That’s probably a fair number… though I think it could potentially pull more.
I haven’t seen a black TA for sale in years. I know of 1 that was sold over seas and was not ever listed.
$135k is a fair number but I think it could be closer to $145k-$150k for someone that wants a black car from someone that doesn’t want to sell it.
