My dealer said it's too quick for an appointment and it's first come first serve- but to expect a 2 hour wait.

While I can't say this is the end all be all answer, it appears Gen V is going to be a dealer job. I looked it up on www.northcoastkeyless.com and they detail the DIY process for Gen 1-4, but they show there is NO self programming procedure for 2013-2017. IF it can be done, the info doesn't seem easy to find.

Maybe lookup how to steal a Hellcat or Trackhawk. Since FCA is using the same key tech across all their lines and the two models I mention are hot and easy targets for thieves I’m sure there’s a 5 minute DIY procedure once you buy a $100 scan tool to hook to your laptop. I kid but it’s why my Viper and Trackhawk will never see downtown Chicago.

I would call Car Keys Express in your area. They'll come to your house and do it.

I purchased a red key from Ebay, have to take it in to the dealer for programming. They charged me $85 to program it, got the cut for free. But if your not cool with the service folks, thats an additional $15

We use a mobile company to program customer cars off site, you can try one of those companies.

There was no way I was going near a dealer for this...I had a mobile company do it for me as well.

I have a Witech pod (scan tool), it can program a Viper fob. On the other hand, I was at Bulbs & Batteries today, they also program key fobs.
