This has been a 12 month focus as the VOA Hagerty partnership has emerged. A group has been working with the analysts at the Hagerty Price Guide to provide knowledge and context to all Vipers. Gen I's were pretty easy. Gen II's started with RT10 and GTS but were then broken out by GT2's, ACR's, and FE's with discussions concerning colors and stripes. Gen III's will have some coming detail. The three Gen's will see some interesting updates on January 1st.

In the meantime, Gen IV was just added this afternoon. Every day will get a little better as items are added, but you Gen IV aficionados will enjoy as this becomes more robust.

I'd like to thank the following for their contributions:

Dave Hood, Northern California region
Kurt Wadsworth, PA/WV region
Mike Kuchavik Sr, PA/WV
Bill Blewett, MCVO

Will they find you a car at the price they value them at??? Would love to add another 2010 ACR if they are only $67k with a clean title now.

With 25,000 or 30,000 miles plus with this description, do you think it is accurate?

So I’ve only seen a Gen 4 viper in the $65k-ish range if it had a salvage title. Even tho I bought one one year ago now I still look at these cars everyday in a effort to talk my buddy into buying one for his track car.

1 of 2 - increase
2 owner - increase
Cover - increase
Original Docs - increase

Is it unrealistic for this car to be sold at $75,000? If so, is the gap between $67 and $75 realistic if the above four items are true, newer rubber, all fluids up to date, and the Viper is solid?

As a Gen IV ACR owner, what are your thoughts?

That guy has been trying to sell that car since before I bought mine (I remember the baby on the wing picture, they had like a Christmas card photo as well before on eBay). I think the difference in a 2010 and 2008-2009 shouldn't be overlooked here and it seems to be. The 2010 was the end of an era, the last of the "real" vipers, the ones without traction and stability control, the one that was supposed to be the last viper and needed to claim the Ring as a result. The wing endplates and transmission modifications for 2010 are the cherry on top.

Is that a $72-75k car, to me, yes. I don't see 1 of 2 being a big increase (all these cars are limited by nature of vipers). The miles do kill that car for most, that is high miles in the viper world with most being under 10k it seemed/seems.

I also just know who the evaluations are for to be honest. Is it for Hagerty to limit how much coverage they will give a car or is it really to give people a price to buy and sell cars at? I know they really don't seem to want to insure my ACR as they are asking for the same just for the viper as Grundy charges for the viper, viper truck, and 71 dart I have with them.

Also, the only other one on auto trader right now is this one.... With what I'm going to assume is a non factory matte black stripe and I'm guessing holes in the bumper for the front plate I wonder how much it will really go for... $80K? I know this dealership is real proud of it though.

You might have missed that the VOA has a membership group working with the Hagerty Price Guide. Do you think owners want lower prices? The analytics Hagerty collects is insane from external sources. They even send people to auctions and other venues to evaluate the cars IN PERSON. They are no joke.

On the insurance side, one size doesn't fit all. Everyone is different and those differences mean different people select different insurers for different reasons.

100k for a tracked and modified 08.... Presumed track time and the modifications would knock it down to fair or good right?

Sure - is that what you and your buddy are looking for? But not on BaT.

This would probably be a #2 Viper ACR which is $89,000. It sold for 18% over. Hasn't almost everything - BaT has turned into the go to spot to sell. It is fun to watch.

I was talking with a major collector today that said the knowledge shared on BaT and people he has met thru BaT has been incredible. He could sit in the VIP section of any auction, get free drinks, hob knob with the big cash crowd, but he would have learned nothing about Vipers. Since he knows more, they are now worth more to him.

Factors like this, as they play out, bring new context to values.

Keep in mind, Hagerty was pulling together data when creating the first release of Gen IV. A 290 mile 2010 Final Edition 1 of 12 ACRs struggled to sell at $100,000 to $10,000 commission less than three weeks ago. And that is a #1 Viper in a more desirable year.

You and your wife are lucky to have bought when you did.

I hear some nice Gen IV ACR's are coming out of the woodwork in the next month or so for BaT.

Yes old thread, but Viper prices are literally increasing daily and makes it difficult on declared value.

Bruce-

I have not had a problem with insuring for values above what is in the Price Guide.

If any one has, please contact me. brian.willey@driveviper or 248-705-1245.
