Thought I would post this savagegeese video about the LFA....I enjoyed it. I'm a mech engineer and was amazed a the attention to detail and design that went into this thing. I would be washing and detailing the underside of this if I owned one. It's mechanical art.

That's one of the cars on my list to own. It will never happen, but I would even like to just see one in person.

One of the things that I always thought was interesting was how Toyota used this " Halo " machine's styling on a mass market automobile , as there is no denying the Scion FR-Z and the Subaru BRZ are stylistic siblings. They still live on ( Scion now a Toyota 86 ) and they definitely show the esteem this car was given by Toyota Corp. , because the LFA is stunning and though so few were built the impact the LFA Designer had is so apparent.
The one thing that I still think was missed by Dodge/SRT Marketing was the impressive amount of CF used in the build process. Taken in the time frame ( 2013 ) there was nothing else in the SuperCar World or Mass Produced World with so much Carbon Fiber for the price point. Heck, optioned lightly you had a 206 mph , 645hp CF body paneled vehicle ( granted not all the body ) for under 100K. Actually the door process on the Aluminum doors was actually another super unique process. Sure, we could go on and on after watching a video like this ( concerning the LFA ) and we could wax philosphophic about how many other super special stuff was done on the Viper , at a price point that was expensive , but unbelievably low when compared to it's true contemporaries.
The meat of the potatoes of the LFA is no more impressive than the V10 of the Viper and once we compare as unbiased as we can be ,which one nailed the true track presence ---- uh, that wold be the last automobile built in Detroit ( and the last hand built , US, mass produced machine too )
Appreciate this video a lot , as it helps us do a mental comparison ( for fun ) and the crazy conclusion is we start appreciate more and more the really special machine we all own.

When my GTS got delivered, the driver opened the semi trailer and had me come in. Parked right in front of my Viper was an LFA. He let me take a look at it and even started it for me. Remarkable sound.

I look at her all the time....and it's unbelievable that I got such a performer at such a great price. I always think about it being hand built, the carbon fiber, all the NA power....etc...last of the analog cars. It's nice to see that the pricing is up on these for now. I do catch myself getting annoyed at some of the little glitches/issues...but in the grand scheme of things, I shouldn't. You have to love the fact that these companies had the balls to make such cars...they certainly weren't money makers for them.

Considering the Viper was the last car built in Detroit , I guess that would make it an LFA for that town , too --------Last Friggin Automobile constructed in the Motor City.

The LFA is an amazing masterpiece. Sure, it's infotainment system was already outdated when it came to market, but that's not what the car lives off. It's the engine and the way the whole car is built. A loooong time ago I was briefly a Lexus car salesman and had the opportunity to see and listen to a white LFA doing rounds on the Estoril racetrack in Portugal, as we had a Lexus event over there. Won't ever forget that sound!

This comment made me laugh.....
