View Full Version : My G5 Photo Shoot
First winter in Florida with my Viper...what a difference 1200 miles south makes :-)) Rather than choose a few, I'm posting them all. Custom paint by PREFIX, wheels supplied by Nine Ball, heading very soon to Woodhouse for upgrades:

That is a beautiful job. I have never seen white paint pop like that and I really like the way they did the stripes. Way to go!

I will admit, I wasn't crazy about the idea at first but I definitely think you pulled it off. The car looks awesome! Can you post up some non-HDR pics? HDR changes the color contrast.
One finishing touch that you might want to consider is an IPSCO red tow hook for the front. Would really pop with the red mirrors.

I'm not sure about those red mirrors, but the race-style mono-lug wheels and bicolore-type body is blowing my mind, and the fact that you took the time to contract with Prefix to do this, so it's like a non-factory factory car... wow.

Thanks for all your overwhelming comments. As for the red hook, put it on the list Mark. For the non-HDR pics, I'll ask the photog. Regarding the dirty sidepipe tips...oversight fail, will get my valet on it right away :-)
My fave pic is the last one of the hood...really shows off the subtle curves and contrast of the hood 'valleys'...even though it is not the same hood as the GTS-R ALMS hood.

Check out the GTS-R ALMS paint scheme for the red mirrors, which the car mimmicks. As for non factory, yes, but SRT had their finger prints all over the paint job in assisting PREFIX

Awesome; paint job looks better each time I see it; I'd like to add CF aero, X brace and engine covers to mine; maybe a Corsa. I'd definitely trust Mark from Woodhouse to mod the car.

That's what I was saying, it's like a combination of custom and production, which is really cool.

I may not be PC, however, how could you compare this car to a vette, a GTR or a porsche. All the aforemenioned are nice cars, but, they do not compare to the Gen 5.

LOL, exactly Jack.
I think the one thing the engine is missing are matte bolts for the xbrace - jack didn't you have a link for them? I think black bolts would look better.
Very Nice! I love the 1st picture. Your car looks great!

Nobody brings this up, and I know it saves weight and stuff, but as a great lover of the Gen V, the only (and I mean only) part of the Gen V that I regard as a massive step backwards from all previous vipers is the plastic intake and engine covers. To me, when you open up the Gen IV hood and see that bulging brushed metal on top of the engine, you know you're looking at something in the same league as a 430 or a Gallardo, which also have that beautiful uncovered metal engine for all to see. When you open the hood and see plastic panels, that says more Lexus or VW or Corvette to me. I hope the aftermarket provides alternatives.

Center-lock wheels will have to be on my Viper when I get one.
F2V-
Have you though about adding the aero package? I think it would be a nice compliment.

Looking at it right now with Mark at Woodhouse, for Jetstars complete CF pkg, less the door sills. Kicking around a few other things too.
