Viper is the purest modern "Drivers Car"

Great video, sums the experience up for me so far. Trying to not be in the 50%, if that was true.

I thought the most dangerous car was one with the nannies that have a mind of their own. My Toyota Supra Turbo was one of them. It had a traction control system that was on by default and worked in a primitive fashion (good old brake the wheel that slips) but causing the car to spin and behave weird. I finally crashed it under one such situation. Definitely defective TC software and I've never bothered with anything Toyota since then. After that I decided to buy a car that was as pure a driving experience as was available and bought the Viper GTS.

I have not regretted it and have had numerous situations where I've had it sideways accidentally due to loss of traction but have always recovered it. The driving experience has been nothing short of spectacular compared to my Supra.

Thanks for the video.

I traded my '93 after 3 years on my '96 GTS. The difference was astounding in how much more behaved the Gen2 is, and the brake modulation is better. Years later, I drove another Gen 1 and found it to be quite exhilarating, with a "happy" back end! It brought a big smile back to my face :D

Agree Dean, still miss my late '93 ...

... and they still look super ...

the rear might pop out a bit on the rack, but would slide back in line with slight correction ...

way fun ...
