This may get long winded, but it has been a long struggle.

The car started acting up quite a while ago, years to be more exact. It started with a slight hesitation to accelerate which was quickly fixed with a downshift.

This year it escalated to the point is was barely drivable. Unfortunately, no codes. After a new fuel filter, that did nothing, spark plugs, wires, TPS sensor it improved slightly but was still very rough.

Which brings me to today, I took it out for a ride and finally the check engine light came on, which in turn made the drivability perfect, go figure. After returning home and pulling the code, its P9000, which tells me nothing.

Does this sound familiar to anyone or any guesses to what this thing is doing? I am actually at the point of just having the Replace Engine Soon light on and going about my Merry way.

Check your fuel pressure under load. That means while driving the car.

Check your cats, if you're running them.
