Howdy Houston,
We just received some correspondence from Ben Keating about what we thought was a catastrophic fire at Sebring last weekend. He says the carbon fiber melted and burned black making the fire look worse than it really was. He also says the frame, engine, transmission and a bunch of other stuff is ok but will need a new wiring harness and bodywork among a ton of other things.
I quote Ben directly:
"We will be racing at the next race at Laguna Seca on April 4th. Chassi 001 will live to fight another day!"
Go Ben Go!!!

Now what about selling off those used race parts for collectors and making a bit of cash for the new race parts needed?

This is GREAT news Barb, thank you for posting. I was reluctant to ask, fearing much worse news.
One minor probable correction:
The next Tudor race with the Daytona Class cars is indeed Laguna Seca, but on MAY 4.

That's great news. The TV announcers (Bob Varsha and crew) at the race were suggesting the fire would have been so hot to adversley affect the motor and transmission. Glad to see this is not the case.

In terms of dates, well that's what Ben said so i just went with it so perhaps he's still shook up and isn't sure what day it is!!!

Wife got a return tweet from him indicating he would in fact be at the next race which is cool. He may have another car too.
