Houston Viper Club,
On Saturday April 12th will be hosting a new charity event for our organization, the Wounded Warrior Project. Basically, we will be taking the wounded warriors on a ride along cruise in our amazing Vipers to see the bluebonnets in bloom.
Here is what we have planned. First, we will meet at Wal-Mart parking lot located at 26270 Northwest Fwy (Hwy 290), Cypress, TX 77429, 281-256-8038. Exit is Fry Road/Cypress Rose Hill/Spring Cypress. Please plan to arrive at 9:30 AM, there will be a driver's meeting at 10 AM, and we will depart shortly thereafter.
The cruise will begin on Hwy 290 in Cypress, go to Hempstead, go south to Bellville, then north to Brenham to have lunch at Los Cabos Mexican restaurant in Brenham. After lunch, we will cruise to Washington-on-the-Brazos state park, then to Navasota, and then back to Cypress. We will plan to end the day roughly between 2-3 PM.
The Wounded Warrior Project organization has some specific requirements. We must have enough "sponsors" for every warrior who is interested in attending the event. We can't have more warriors than cars. This is critical. They are telling us to expect 10-15 ambulatory warriors for our event. I will get a hard number fairly soon.
What we need are our members who are willing to be "sponsors" for the event. A sponsor is nothing more than you agreeing to the following items: a promise to attend the event in your Viper, drive your vet, and be willing to spend roughly $40 ($20 T-Shirt for him & roughly $20 for his lunch). Please send your commitment to be a sponsor, we need to get the number of drivers for the event confirmed. If you decide not to be a sponsor, we still want your participation in the event. I am hoping for a large number of Vipers to make a good impression on these heroes!
We are also planning to have screen print T-Shirts made to mark the event. Please see attachment for the artwork. S-XL sizes are $20, 2-3XL $22, 4-6XL $24 each. Please send in your order asap! They are cool!!
This is an excellent event to show your appreciation and to maybe make a difference in the life of a wounded warrior who put his life on the line so that we can enjoy the freedoms of our great nation.
Please RSVP to info@houstonviperclub.com a.s.a.p. so we can have an accurate Viper Count for our heroes.
